I feel for you. New bikes arrived two weeks ago. We just got a metric shitload of snow. (I am an Engineer, "Metric Shitload" is a proper, recognized unit of measure, equal to 2.2 Imperial Shit-tons)

HA! Here in the Queen's Bush we do not trust this "Spring" you speak of. I have hiked and canoed in the snow on the May Long Weekend (third Monday in May is Victoria Day, nice of the old gal to be born on a long weekend) and seen frost in the second week of June.

I’ve been having fun with tidal estuaries, if you catch the tides right you can ride the current inland, then ride it back out.

I’m hoping to get up to Puget Sound this summer, there are places you can get a real push

I rarely paddle in the big lake. Way too unpredictable. We have lots of rivers and small lakes too. There is no shortage of Water in Ontario.
