For me dancing is more important than riding, and luckily it's easier to arrange.

But on the countryside I was surprised to find out it wasn't more expensive to go riding than having dance lessons in the nearby town (and those lessons had some mean people). Just usually by the time I got the horse brushed clean (no idea what verb you use in English, but the horses spent most of the time outdoors and they really needed a good brushing) and saddled I was exhausted already!

Oh I know! Brushing the horse (grooming) is exhausting when the horse is all dirty. And horses do like to roll around in the mud. You get an arm workout when you brush them off and a leg workout out when you ride them around
