My neighbor worked at area 51 for years, and that destroyed his lungs too. Apparently lots of really toxic shit out there.

Back then they would be wiping everything down with benzene, or Carbon Tetrachloride. Nasty stuff…

That was letterpress. When I was little I would help break down the galleys and send the type into the pot to be melted down
