Behold! Okay, I am a nobody, but this in my opinion, is the absolute best track from a legendary band: The Rolling Stones. I do not make such statements lightly. To me, this is an amazing track from an astoundingly talented band. Mick is in tune because he has talent! The guitar work is perfect because the two guitarsists were just that good! The timing is perfect because Charlie Watts (the drummer) had skill! The bass is perfect because Bill Wyman was that good! There were no computers, this is what happens when humans worked and practiced for thousands of hours separately and together to gain skills. This is an example of what comes out of such extraordinary efforts.

I have a friend who I claim as my daughter since I didn’t have one. I pass on to her what I consider musical masterpieces of my generation and before me - and she gets it! How cool is that? She is in her 20’s but recognizes and appreciates the music and musicianship we experienced in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s? There was brilliant stuff after that too, but I cannot point it out because I lost faith in musicians by ’89 (even though I was a musician). Yes, I am broken and I am wrong. But turning on a radio in 1988 and later yielded a whole lot of shit, and 1 or 2 proper songs.

For me, if it does not sound like a physical, proper drum is being played by a human… then they are fake ass pieces of shit. Just my opinion, of course. 😊😊😊

Oh wow. Some of the musicians of the 90s and beyond are out of this world. For drummers I go to Jazz a lot. Ask me to name a drummer, I can't. Same with guitar. And Piano. Metal still charges me up. Metallica. Other guitarists like Bonomasa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Satriani.
