Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Well at the moment moment even the winter here is cold, dark and rainy! 😭 Been melting for days, and still days to come. Aka slushy, slippery, and miserable. I want back to freezing and fresh snow!
We are getting the same winter. I hate winter rain.

I am a ginger and STILL ready to brave the Caribbean sun. Who's got sunscreen for me?

I miss the snow, I absolutely love that fresh fall, it makes everything look so bright and crystal clean
Thus the need for a sunny vacay.
Yes indeed ☀️ 🍹

So the rest of the winter is supposed to be warmer than usually there as well? Dammit, not fun.

And it's not just it being miserable, it is affects my asthma too 😠 I'd need a place where it's pretty much always high pressure weather (like on the Canary Islands), but never too hot (unlike on the Canary Islands during summer season).

We are getting an El Nino or a La Nina. I can't keep them straight. It has to do with ocean temps off the West Coast of S. America in fall and winter. It forces the jetstream to do stupid things. Good for the heating bills, bad for snow-related activities.

El Niño is dry while La Niña is wet o.o

Actually... Apparently there's been an extended La Nina -period since 2020 and it's been warmer than normally despite that... La Nina is ending, so 2023 might be even hotter than previous years.

El Nino raises global temperatures, La Nina cools them down average. Those follow the each other, El Nino starting around Xmas and lasting usually 9-12 months, but sometimes for a few years... I hope we get a respite before next El Nino!
