haha. eh corporate America, people don't do things unless they are told, otherwise they might get flogged. see, if I tell him to go into the closet and it bursts into flames, he can now blame me.

But it is a false pants alarm, got a guy to take me into the closet on video, and the noise is not my problem. (The battery on the UPS for the building security system has failed. I handle all the building's network, but not their security system)

Could have been worse. I started to go into a friend's attic to look for a sleeping bag once. They hadn't mentioned the 9' long boa constrictor, because she'd gone missing several months earlier. I opened the little hatch in the attic and had this looking back at me:
