This is very true I had to do an entire thread answering random questions and was so strange hearing my own voice.

Apparently has something to do with way your jaw vibrates your ear drum, so the recording is closer to how you actually sound.

That's exactly what most people experience, you get used to it the more often have to hear yourself.

For me my voice apparently got a bit more gravely after I was sick last year, so I sound closer to my head voice now.
