Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Wood heat is a wonderful thing! 🥰
Especially when it’s 15 degrees and the wind is howling
I used to live in the pacific northwest, 19 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean (technically, highway 101). It was common there and then, to heat homes with firewood. Oak was preferred to last longer, and fir was used to start the fire and get it nice and hot. It was a fair amount of work. But kept my physically in shape, and the house warm. But I feel I should point out - at that point in my life, we had cats. Lots of them. Like, too many of them. No dogs at all.

OMG! I am such a ditz!! For a wolf, I was growing food!!! And I I realizie, or at least think, there were coyotes around there, not wolves… but they apparently did do a significant amount of business with the Acme corporation. Just sayin’!

They had to do something with all those anvils! :D

I am so messed up I will happily give you a belly rub either way… 15 degrees American, or communist? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Messed up? We like that here in Chaos! I'll gladly take the belly rub. Bahaha 15 degrees Fahrenheit :p:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Agreed! Glad you are warm in that cold weather

Lots of people still heat with wood in the PNW either as only or secondary source of heat. I love it. Nothing like the warmth of a wood stove. 😊

Sigh. Almost time for bed y’all. So I can work my weekend away. 😕
Oh MM... get some sleep and I hope you have an easy weekend.
I was thinking of you a lot today as I uncovered stuff all over that remind me of the losses of the last years. Worse than peeling an onion. So many things started... incomplete. And, the kind of cleaning I'm doing today is what I used to do for the in laws. It's so raw.
Good evening Chaos.

Its good to be home, but sadly this is as far as I get today. White-outs, snow squalls and icy roads mean our get-together was cancelled.

Its a mess out there. My theme for the weekend?
So very grateful you are home. It's a bummer the weather has conspired against your family get together. May you find a way to reschedule soon. Stay safe and warm; heal your body and improve your strength etc.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I built a pretty nice outdoor fire pit here. Weather is finally cool enough and have a lot wood from hurricane to burn.

Thank you sweetheart ❤️

I’ve been doing some of that myself. Going through pictures and things of my mom and dad. Trying to get my head in the space of gratitude and love and out of sadness and grief. Slowly. It’s working slowly. 🤗
I’ll be thinking of you, lovely. 😘
