I understand completely. This was a bit before CGI really "got there" though. I wonder what Giger would have done if he'd lived a little longer. His primary medium was airbrush; I can't even begin to speculate what he might have come up with if he had modern computer art programs to help bring his visions to the screen... Not sure if that's nightmares I should be grateful I never had, or incredible art I never got to see.

No... Giger was an artist. And aside from a few oddballs like Aliens 3, most of his work holds up today. The same could be said for Stan Winston with the Youtja in Predator, and his collaboration with James Cameron on the xenomorph Queen. You just can't see monsters like that anymore.
