Is it wrong to say if you give me something sharp and put me on a plane then I definitely am stabbing someone?
I'm not to good with flying
lmao
I have always said that a pencil or a pen is AT LEAST as good a weapon as my knitting needles.
You do NOT want me on a plane if I can't knit or sew during take off.... just saying.

oh god the number of things I had questioned by TSA was unreal. They took a plastic spork once, and my packets of sweet & low. My tweezers have been questioned, my eyelash curler questioned several times lol.
The TSA agents who found my self exam speculum (back in my feminist healthworker/ teaching self exam days) really hastily returned it to my bag when I explained what it was.

I have heard a lot of stories about sex toys and TSA...

I used to be able to fly with my late husband he was awesome and talking me down from freak outs. Only tried once since he passed and I got kicked off the plane before take off 😅

I used to be nervous when they'd go in my bag and find one of my toys. Now I try to bring the most horrific ones I can think of just to amuse myself when they find it

well that could be quite the conundrum. I usually got my eyelash curler through by showing/demonstrating to the guy how it was used.

I think they permitted circular needles, just not straight needles. Which frankly I prefer for travel knitting. Much harder to lose a stitch and a little less unfriendly to whomever I sit next to.
I really never knit with straight needles anymore. Gave them all away.

For a time, anything pointy was bad. Hey, I have a friend who has a hell of scar on her thigh from having some really sharp double points in her pocket, so hey, maybe they weren't wrong! :ROFLMAO:

I only knit with straight when I am doing historical interpretation in the days before circular needles existed.
Scarred by a double point! Yikes! those must have been seriously sharp.

I haven't had sex toys questioned but I have had a vibrator decide to turn itself on unexpectedly. That was kind of embarrassing. Although partly because i couldn't FIND it; I could just feel it vibrating. I'd been in a huge hurry when I packed, and I just threw things in.

oohhhhh - they have metal points? All metal?
I am a wood needle knitter. Lykke is my brand these days.
I like those, too. They feel nice. Probably my 2nd favorite, but I love a really sharp point.

Yup, they're all metal, and they're amazing. You can choose the pointy-ness. I love the stilettos. They also have this tiny etching in them, you can't even see it, and it means that they're slippery but they have a little grip, too. Great for lace knitting especially.
