Are you doing something funky with your goatee, where it would draw extra attention? I'm not suggesting, "It's his own fault 'cause he's got that thing going on," but I pictured someone with a bunch of letters in their beard spelling out, "Fuck you," or something. When I was sporting the moustache / goatee, mine was pretty generic.
People nowadays have no social skills or filters they blame it on covid they blame it on their parents not raising them right but what it comes down to is they are to damn lazy to learn how to socialize properly.

well, I think addressing only makes sense if you are interpreting the situation accurately. except I see no point in addressing what I understand. That is why the side eye half look is the most complex one. If I know why, I know, when I don't, I don't. for all I know they think my purse is cute lol. wandering up to strangers and asking what was that look is not going to be helpful

It can even be dangerous for some. For a little while I lived in Dearborn, which is in Detroit. Looking at someone, and them not liking it could be enough to get you hurt, let alone calling them out on why they're looking

It's an amazing City, just as Detroit was before GM went bankrupt. But every city, every community, everywhere, no matter how splendous, how cosmopolitan, has it's dangers.

I agree. I love running around Grand Rapids. Detroit is beginning to look more and more like it did in the RoboCop movies. However, there have been plenty of streets in Grand Rapids I wouldn't go when the sun went down*whispers *
