Fawns have to learn to fend for themselves quickly. Mothers will leave the fawns in the brush to hide while the mother looks for food. If you see fawns alone, it is normal.I've seen the adults around for the least couple of weeks so I sort of expected the young, but I had no idea where they might have been laying among the undergrowth.
