January 6th Prosecution vs. Trump - Loving Updates

For me, the hate and gaslighting coming from the fair-play everyone is equal Democrats here and throughout America actually lifts the Republicans.

You’re giving Trump too much credit. It’s not terribly hard for anyone to delay a criminal trial when they haven’t been arrested and charged with a crime.
It’s clear to me that most people here don’t know very much about politics.

You could point out to the Dem Mouth Foamers here, for example, that Biden and Garland haven’t been anywhere near the J6 hearings… and it’s more than the distance required by law.

But what would be the point in telling them? You’ve seen their level of emotion.

Even Butters man Harry has taken a powder from the boards.

The kinder, gentler Democrats of Lit are in for a rough ride. A few of them have already cracked.

Anyone know what the hearing Ratings are like?

Nobody’s mentioned them since the first day.

You know what that means.

retired generals write letter stating trump's dereliction to duty

one excerpt:
"In the weeks leading up to that terrible day, allies of Mr. Trump also urged him to hold on to power by unlawfully ordering the military to seize voting machines and supervise a do-over of the election. Such an illegal order would have imperiled a foundational precept of American democracy: civilian control of the military," they wrote. "Americans may take it for granted, but the strength of our democracy rests upon the stability of this arrangement, which requires both civilian and military leaders to have confidence that they have the same goal of supporting and defending the Constitution."
there's more, just as damning.

looking forward to tonight's hearing, 7pm ET, so 6pm CT

Given that they have been on every major network, even the first night was not great. They sure aren’t helping the star of the J6 committee in her hopes of surviving her primary. She’s toast. Her performance might land her a job at CNN though.

U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has posted a short video clip of former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, former Trump White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, and other White House aides and officials admitting on camera that during the January 6 insurrection the president, Donald Trump spent the day in the dining room watching the violence on television.

“He was always in the dining room” on January 6, McEnany tells January 6 Committee investigators.

multiple trumpers have testified to the committee that trump spent the day in the dining room, watching the screen as the violence unfolded.

I have a feeling her career trajectory is going to be just fine.

Tucker Carlson gets 3 million viewers. Young Sheldon gets 7 million. The first 1/6 hearing broadcast got 20 million.

The first 1/6 hearing broadcast got 20 million.
It has settled back to 10-11 milion since then.

Aired on 5 networks, versus Young Sheldon on 1.

So, much less impact than Young Sheldon.

Sounds about right.

Apparently

it’s around 10 million a day, 13 the day the woman talked about the steering wheel.

5 broadcast networks plus cable, streaming, web etc.

19% repub audience, 81% dems

So, the political theatre part isnt changing a lot of minds.

Seems to be changing about 19% possibly.

DeSantis appreciates that, I'm sure

99% of the time you're wrong 100% of the time.
CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, C-SPAN combined drew about the same number of viewers as most Sunday Night Football games on NBC. An October game between 2 teams in different conferences (Tampa Bay @ New England) drew 27 million viewers. That’s 7 million more for regular season NFL game than the J6 opening episode.Americans are more interested in Tom Brady. 😂

Have the subsequent episodes shown any signs of improvement?

So, some more coconspirators in the Trump coup attempt have been uncovered--the leadership of the Secret Service. And now we know what the big deal was all about on Pence refusing to be driven away from the Capitol building. He knew the plan was not to bring him back to wave a wand over the certification--orchestrated by Trump and delivered by the Secret Service coconspirators. But then Pence knew/knows a whole lot about the coup plot that he's not telling--and didn't tell before the attack--which means he's no one's hero.

The Trumpers love Trump for being/sounding like Trump. All they see is "librals" being irritated by it, and their world of self-stroking doesn't get any better than the pleasure the perception of owning "librals" gives them. They'll do all manner of self-harm to get that feeling.

How long have we been calling Donny a petulant whiney child prone to temper tantrums?

Rep. Adam Kinzinger calls Trump's mind a 'scary place' and compares his behavior on January 6 to 'a child who is angry'

"It's important for people to understand that this wasn't some poor man who was betrayed or misled by Mike Pence," Kinzinger told the Bulwark podcast.
Kinzinger is correct, however the problem for J6 is that behaving like a petulant child isn’t enough for the DOJ to prosecute.
