And I personally think that everyone should wear what she/he/they want on their own time, and that everyone should choose professions in which the clothing norms fit well with one's own clothing desires if at all possible.

But I also think that while one may want to smash the patriarchy, and hey, who doesn't?, you have to pick your battles, and clothes signal something about you, especially when you're young and just establishing yourself as what you want to be. If I were an artist, I would not wear a business suit because that would be out of place. If I'm going to work on Wall St, I'm going to wear that suit.

I'm for practical patriarchy-smashing, and one of the things that I do is contribute both financially and with clothes to a couple of organizations that provide professional clothes for young women (mostly) who can't afford them. And then when they all get their cool jobs, we can smash the patriarchy from inside.

Idk enough about the subject to give an educated opinion but my uneducated one 😂 is that it makes me nervous to inject anything into the body. But i do know its used for medical reasons so I'm all for that. In terms of for beauty reasons, hmmm part of me feels like we need to learn how to be okay with aging bc its part of the cycle of life but then if there are tools you can use why not. Recently i thought about botox in my face 😂 i don't have an issue per say but i do have some expression wrinkles from frowning i guess 😂😂😂 ...honestly at the end of the day as justa says is yoour money.

Thank you for explaining this so well. Now everyone replace the patriarchy for white supremacy, men for white people and women for BIPOC and same concept.

I hate the whole men being treat better just bc men v. Women like the example you gave about the restaurant. One time me and a guy friend were out of town and we went to eat. When we left and headed to the car this man that was cleaning the windows says to my friend "all ready boss" mind you I was the one walking to the driver seat (because we were in a town my friend had never been to and I knew my way around so I was the one driving). I told him (kind of laughing and joking) hey don't you see I'm the one driving? Why did you call him boss and not me? And then he proceeds to basically call me little boss. Like i still didn't get full on boss. 😂😂😂

Another time I was in LA and if you've never been there, there are street vendors that sell fruit for snacks. So i saw one and I stopped to get one. And the guy says what can I get you boss. So then I wrote a fb post about how that day I had experienced equality for the first time in my life when he said that 😂😂

Anyway these are all funny examples about how it plays out in ways that doesn't affect women but it doesn't mean I can't take notice

I started using it too. I'm probably not consistent enough. I got some for my mom too and i can see the diff on her! My mom has great skin already but i def helps
