Have you considered the resale market? If wear and tear bothers you, you can actually buy repair kits for the sole units... But again, I cannot attest to the quality of repair...

I should and have at times but don’t very often. A nice sexy dress kind of loses its effect when I wear sneakers instead of high heels. But I do get what you are saying
