As awful as the prosecutor is in the Rittenhouse case, the defense attorney in the Arbury case is even worse. He put his stupid, fat client on the stand, who then signed his own conviction papers.

I watched most of the trial. I watched all of Rittenhouse's testimony and all of the closings. Not relying at all on what the various media, social and otherwise, tells me to think; If I were on the jury, I'd vote to acquit.

The statute charged referred to short rifles and shotguns. The specified barrel length the law was written to prohibit was a barrel length shorter than the AR-15, so it could not be applied to the rifle in question. Thus the charge was dropped.
