Merrick Garland Not Doing the Job

Thank goodness the lazy dumb ass is not on the Supreme Court! Guess we can agree McConnell did us all a favor. 🇺🇸👏🇺🇸 Shame Biden picked such a useless AG.

He seems to be doing your friends a real favor by not jumping on their coupist asses and dumping them in prison where they belong and where they should quickly and decisively be to assure the rest of American that we don't do such banana republic coupist shit here just because we can't win an election.

Garland is aiding your side. Are you too stupid to realize it? (rhetorical question)

No, they wouldn't.

This. The Republicans, who have no constructive programs of their own when they're in control--certainly none other than making the rich richer and the poor poorer--are opposing Democratic programs just to oppose them, their own constitutes' needs be damned.

I’m fully aware of and appreciative of Garland’s incompetence. In his defense, if he did have the energy and intelligence to pursue prosecution of Trump, it would go nowhere because there is no case. Enjoying all the posts on this board from people who still think Trump’s going to be prosecuted and imprisoned. 🍿

*chuckles*

The wheels of justice move slow, for example, on June 17, 1972 a story broke about something, and on Aug 9, 1974, someone resigned. That was 2 years 1 month and 17 days...

Today is 9 months and 21 days from Jan 6th....I wonder what the news will be on March 1st 2023?

Reminds me of how y’all thought Trump colluded with Russia back in 2016. Surely he would go down when Mueller completed his work. Lol. Or that phone call with the president of Ukraine. That said, if expectations of something big going down in 2023 keep you hanging on, that’s cool.

We still think it and it's still true. And folks have gone to prison for doing it and cases are ongoing.

Who do you think you're fooling?

Show me the criminal statue for "collusion".

Then try again with your post....ok?

I'm seeing calls for him to step aside. He's not my choice and he's not doing the job (as I knew early on he would not) , but trying to replace him now would not work out well.

That the GQP has retaken both the House and Senate and are working to remove Joe. And may have the votes to do it.

The future is not looking any less orange.

Sucks to live in such a shitty democracy I guess eh?

It's all just a Trumper game and they can stew alone on it. They have contingency plans both ways. They continue to pretend that what happened, has already led to investigations/prosecutions/convictions (and sometimes pardons from the most guilty of them all) haven't happened, in one dimension; they insist on falsely pretending that current investigations/prosecutions aren't happening while they're happening; and if the investigations/prosecutions happened more quickly they're ready to scream rush to judgment (and then pretend they didn't happen at all).

Meh. That can just be a fake world they occupy all by themselves.

There are none. That didn’t stop many leftists from insisting Trump should be sent to jail. Turns out Trump broke no laws at all. There are laws against lying to FISA judges however. Durham might be prosecuting some folks involved with that and fabricating the Russian Collusion Hoax but we’ll have to see how that goes.

Perfect, now go back and fix your original post, so it makes sense. Or just leave it stand, and we can all just ignore it, your choice.

This is my post. I’ll leave it stand. Trump did not collude with Russia, broke no laws, and didn’t go to jail. Be happy.

Legal group calls on AG Garland to resign -- citing failure to prosecute Trump and cronies

Frustrated by the U.S. attorney general's failure to investigate or take legal action against former President Donald Trump and his associates for various potential crimes, Free Speech for People argued Thursday that because Merrick Garland "is unwilling to step up, it is time for him to step down."

Since the Senate confirmed his nomination in March, the statement says, Garland hasn't taken "any meaningful action" to hold accountable Trump or "his co-conspirators for attempting to overthrow the government on January 6, 2021 and a flurry" of earlier criminal acts.

While primarily focusing on Trump's actions and Garland's lack thereof, Free Speech for People also raised alarm about members of Congress "who appear to have helped plan" the insurrection: GOP Reps. Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Mo Brooks (Ala.), Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Louie Gohmert (Texas), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.).

MG can't even drag Bannon in for ignoring a Congressional subpoena. :(

Yep, what Donald Trump did to tear down the American system of government cannot go unaccounted for. Thus far he has, in fact, been above the law. For the system to survive and recover, he and all those who helped him need to be called into account. Garland has a duty to preserve the nation.

They've had several months now and have done little to nothing. Him, the House, the various Grand Juries in NY and GA ... nada. I know it takes time to prepare cases, but these are almost ready made. He should been indicted on the GA calls in February.

They have 10 months from now at most. After that, progress is unlikely.

The House committee has actually been doing quite a lot. 100s of interviews already. Grilling Clark today. Stuff gets leaked from there regularly, all of it damning, and what it comes out with will be devastating--and ignored by enough to be no more than a "yes, we know that, but some people are, in fact, above the law."

Merrick Garland, is too dumb to be AG. We are blessed his piss ant length memory, isn't trying to remember the Constitution as a justice on the SCOTUS.

Dem lawmaker floats having House Sergeant-at-Arms arrest subpoena defiers as Merrick Garland drags his feet

MG slow and silly, Congress should use their power.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) on Monday suggested that Congress should go back to an old policy of instructing the House Sergeant-at-Arms to detain people who defy congressional subpoenas.

'The committee's investigation is at stake!' CNN panel burns DOJ for slow-walking Bannon indictment

On Monday's edition of CNN's "The Situation Room," a panel discussed the new wave of subpoenas against Trump allies from the January 6 House Select Committee — and the DOJ's current failure to act on the committee's criminal referral.

Garland refuses to comment on status of Bannon’s contempt referral: ‘This is a criminal matter’

Biden’s DOJ emboldens Trump loyalists by dragging its feet on Bannon -- and sends a message of fear and weakness

American democracy is on fire. But Merrick Garland and the Justice Department appear to think it's a false alarm.

It's been two weeks since Steve Bannon was referred to the Justice Department by the House, voting to proceed with criminal contempt of Congress, at the urging of the select committee investigating the January 6th insurrection.

Only the DOJ can make the charge and indict Bannon.

No wonder that people think that the Dem's are limp dicks.
