COCKTAILS Anybody?

I saw them when this was new. I think I was one of maybe six women in the sold-out audience, probably the only one by myself.

I dig them ok but mostly that album and the one after. That doc about the lead singers idiot brother is fucking great.

Pretty average Porch wine.

My rule of thumb for Kiwi whites is "Drink 'em when the vintage is less than two years minus the current year." I wouldn't buy a 2019. I'm probably missing out on some good stuff, but I've been burnt enough over the years.

I had a perfect bottle of Cloudy Bay about ten years ago. It was to weep for.

I am super lazy about buying booze. Wine especially. I just usually buy $15-$20 bottles at grocery. Hardly buy beer because free from work. Occasionally will buy some barrel aged here and there. Went to liquor store yesterday for decent tequila and vodka.

I am a vodka snob. It's been over a decade, and I can't even see myself ever buying it again. "I love it! It has no flavor!"

I feel seen.
In the right place at the right time, a perfect bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc can feel life-changing. Or life-affirming. Or it moves the goalposts for everything else. Or...something.

I am a drunk so I dont really care about Vodka. Just there to mix and get me drunk. Most of them are pretty overrated and who honestly can tell the difference? Maybe how many times distilled. I usually just buy Titos or this small batch brand from Iceland. I can see paying premium for Bourban or even Gin but not Vodka. Kinda same with tequila. As long as it’s 100% agave and has CRT number who gives a fuck?

What do you guys think of the flavored tequila?
I had coffee tequila that was thick and amazing, but it tasted like coffee.

Not for me. I usually just stick to Reposados. In fact I dont care for any flavored liquor. Thats what mixers and Liqueurs are for.

I have been making watermelon syrup in my cooking blender. To that I add whiskey, rum or vodka. Pretty refreshing!

I also did some cuke lime syrup and added rum.

It is impossibly hot here right now. The greatest summer album of all time is playing, and I have an ice-cold Negroni in my hand.

The album, btw, is XTC's Skylarking

I just opened a can of a fruited sour ale, and it erupted like a geyser all over me, my walls, my TV, my computer screen, and everything nearby. Wtf?!?

That sucks. Probably packaged too soon and secondary fermentation occurred. Or maybe some nasty microbes in their canning.

That is going to be SO hard to clean up.
I hopped right to it, so I was able to wipe down anything wipable before it got dry and sticky. In my haste, all this wiping of walls and monitors was done while naked since the little I had been wearing got soaked and had to be removed. There was nothing sexy about it, but I'm sure a peeping tom would have disagreed with that assessment.

Would letting a beer sit at room temperature add to the chances of a secondary fermentation happening?
