I reluctantly get out of bed sometimes, and its only the beginning of June. 21C during the middle of the day mind you, which we find cool.
Always reluctant to have different weight covers on so I probably need a boost. He usually gives in when I say I am just going to have to start wearing pajamas.
What I really want is a kotatsu from Japan. Now those were awesome of an evening.

You can make them if you didn't buy one. US is similar low voltage to Japan so probably easier to just buy it. Elsewhere maybe just replace the heater unit with one for higher voltage. Two quilts, a table frame with the heater unit, and a table top to go over the top quilt. Sit on cushions. Imagine you could make one for a sofa out of one of those laptop tables, obviously you want to keep the area underneath being heated to a minimum for efficiency.

Discount stores in Japan have them by the set at $100-120 starting so not terrible. Yes you could build your own quite easily.
