High heels

Thanks for the YouTube link. A very interesting watch...

It really is amazing what women can do in high heels.

About a month ago I heard about a woman who decided to challenge herself, so she started hiking in high heels. I think her particular hiking trail was up Pikes Peak. She did say that she switched to hiking boots on the way down the mountains that she hiked, but still, quite a feat. (Nice pun huh?)

My wife said that there is a trick to walking in high heels, and that was to take smaller strides, and point your toes inwards.

I suggested setting up a high wire here for to practice on, but she said no!

I echo every other fella here... It literally drives me crazy, especially if the heels expose the right amount of foot cleavage... And the way a woman's feet wrinkle as well...

Heels really work well man and woman because they appeal for a broad number of reasons.

A woman is just full of curves, and high heels stretch her calves and lengthens her legs. That introduces some bice curves from everything from her tushy, to her legs, and even her feet if they show her arches and the like.

For the woman, it generally makes then taller, feeling a bit more aggressive and respected. But unlike other articles of clothing that change with her sizes, her feet generally stay the same size. Those heels she looked killer in in her early thirties, still fit in her forties....and she can mix and match them with a host of outfits.

It's been a real eye opener for me reading some of these posts... I always thought all women did was just walk in heels (and in bedroom), and that was it...

When you compare a woman's legs before she wears heels, and after... Well...

I have just always been supportive of my wife. There was a huge reason for it, and while I don't want to say on the forum openly, when I found that out, and why she really liked wearing heels, I let her run with it.

She has every kind there is: sling backs, wedges, heeled boots, thigh high boots, booties, pumps, etc. At last count, she was topping over 100 pairs of shoes for just her.

Last year I built her a separate walk-in closet just for her heel and purse collection!

And I still envy you... Even more...

That is kind of funny, and I see the humor in it, but overall a woman wearing heels is going outside of the norm, and so she has to expect challenging walking surfaces. It just stands to reason, if you wear something that is not typical of what people wear, then engineers and builders are not going to always take that into consideration when they build.

Grating

Rotted flooring
Slippery surfaces

But as a husband, when I am with my wife who is in heels, looking out for those sorts of things is my job, and helping her over them can be part of the fun. A wife in heels is an adventure, for both the wife and the husband.

It can be difficult for husbands because they like the look so much, that their insistence can sometimes get in the way. Understanding can go a long way into encouraging their wives to wear heels once and awhile.

1) Reinforce how she looks in them. Let her know how proud you are that she can stand out and be bold. Always appreciate her wearing them for you.

2) The biggest thing is to have patience. It's just going to take you longer to get where you are going (but she will look amazing in doing so).

3) Another thing is to plan things well so she does not have to walk far. Wait for that car to pull out of the parking space that is close to the door. Don't make her walk all the way across the parking lot at a restaurant.

4) Always have better shoes available in case its too much. That can be as simple as her switching to kitten heeled shoes or even flats, just so she is more comfortable. I would rather be with my wife on a date looking more casual, then insist she wear heels and not go on the date at all.

5) It does not have to be all or nothing. Sometimes my wife will just wear heels to a certain event, like dinner at a nice restaurant, but wear flats to the game inside the arena (lots of walking). That's okay.

6). Reward her afterwards with a foot rub. Most women will let a serial killer rub her feet. If she is going to wear painful shoes for you, let her always be rewarded with some unselfish, enjoyable time.

"Most women will let a serial killer rub her feet..." < it's so true...

On the odd occasion my Wife needs to wear heels, she'll pack them in a shoe bag (I'll carry it), she puts on trainers, then swaps at the event.

Cobbled pavements (there are a few in our city center) are a nightmare too. But I agree with your sentiments when my Wife seldomly wears heels.
