Canada Thread

According to the Oxford research, it’s a combination of swift action by governments, how the measures are enacted and the level of cooperation of the citizens.

I think Godwin had another law: as population grows,
government in action increasingly becomes inaction.
In short, we become a victim of our own success and growth,
something that we hope smug Canada eventually experiences for itself.

;) ;)

Has this thread apologized for existing yet? Only then will it be a true Canadumb Thread.

Ontario’s Finance Minister in St Bart’s and a Quebec MNA in Barbados.

Both perfectly legal forms of political self-harm.

Hey canuckistanis, where do we want our next batch of immigrants to come from?

I’m thinking South America! The good looking ones, not the squat funny hat wearers.

Hey canuckistanis, the PC Ruby Cocoa Cheesecake Truffles taste nearly as good as the shooter girls at Cowboys.

You shop at Loblaws a lot.

I’ve always liked the PC items and the loblaws is nearby for basics
Fruits and veg usually from an independent middle eastern place
Proteins and imports at a local upscale independent
International staples at walmart...surprising strong selection
Breads i make and a local bakery
Each is under 5 minutes from the cityhouse

Resilient Economy...good news.

(Bloomberg) -- Canada’s labor market roared back to life in February after authorities began lifting lockdowns, a striking sign of the nation’s economic resilience to the second wave of the pandemic.

The economy added 259,200 jobs in February, Statistics Canada reported Friday in Ottawa, well ahead of expectations for a 75,000 gain.

There will be a bump or two yet in Toronto, Montreal and possibly Vancouver, but the outlook is generally positive!

Certainly nothing like the USA has put itself through.

I ate out yesterday.

No masks.

It was nice to se pretty smiles on cute girls again
(and no, it wasn't Hooters™).

Hooters girls have faces? :nana:

Hooters never really caught on in Canada; we don’t objectify women here in the same way.

I have been enjoying the pandemic’s unintended consequence of strangers keeping their distance.

The Tragically Hip sucks and Nickleback are worse. Rush was technical masturbation, and Celine Dion looks like a bird with a broken beak.

The hip do not suck. Nickleback do suck. Rush are one of the best. Celine can suck it. I have seen some of the bands you've posted in the past and you sir like a lot of shitty bands.
One of the best canadian bands is still Propagandhi.

What makes for a good Canadian thread? I don't know if I saw it. I think all I've seen was people saying where they were from. But I'm not here often enough. I may have missed it. What shall we talk about?

A good Canadian thread makes fun of all things Toronto.

Laughing at Toronto unites all Canadians.

Went to the pot store today because I wanted a new strain. The four I have in stock are good, but I've been smoking them for 6 months now. Picked up an ounce for $120. Gonna give her a try in a few minutes. Wish me luck!

One of my people is doing a big deal out of bc with some la rappers and nba players for a new pot brand. You’ll love the name when it goes live.

I hate to say it, but the majority of women who enlist,
are not exactly the flowers that attract the bees...

Cosco's Canadian maple syrup is better than any Vermont product I have tried. Wonder if the cold helps?

It's all about the cold, and the environment.

The Quebec stuff is generally considered the best, though Vermont's really not that far away from frenchieland.

And there are different Grades...personally, I like the darker second grade better than the lighter top tier syrup.
