As much as I enjoy some of the more elaborate art and ties of Shibari ...sometimes it's just the simplicity of the moment that is required!

I do love the detail and 'almost engineering' aspect to Shibari and the aesthetics and contrast of rope against the female (..for me!) form, and how it can transform the body.
But then there is also the raw 'animalistic' essence of using anything to hand - handcuffs, ties, stockings, duct-tape etc. as restraints as sexual fuel for both 'consenting' parties.

Both have their time and place.
