Two Whistleblowers Come Forward And Will Testify Against William Barr

The Attorney General—who cites his busy schedule as a basis for refusing to appear before the House Judiciary Committee but has made time for multiple television interviews—may have abdicated his responsibility to Congress, but the brave men and women of our civil service have not. The Committee welcomes the testimony of current and former Department officials who will speak to the lasting damage the President and the Attorney General have inflicted on the Department of Justice.

Two of the witnesses scheduled to testify, Aaron Zelinsky and John Elias, are dedicated public servants currently employed by the Department. Mr. Zelinsky can speak to the Department’s handling of the sentencing of Roger Stone and Mr. Elias can speak to improperly motivated activity by the Antitrust Division.

Barr has been acting as Trump’s personal lawyer since he became Attorney General. Barr has interfered in the Roger Stone case, dropped the prosecution of Mike Flynn even after Flynn confessed twice to lying to the FBI, and personally taken over overseeing, and shutting down, any federal investigations that involve Donald Trump, his family, or his businesses.

William Barr is the most corrupt attorney general in modern American history, and in a little more than a week, whistleblowers are going to detail his impeachable offenses.

WATCH: GOP lawmaker throws a tantrum and tries to drown out witness testimony by banging his desk

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Wednesday tried in vain to drown out a witness testifying before the House Judiciary Committee by repeatedly banging on his desk.

Don Ayer, who served as deputy attorney general under President George H.W. Bush, delivered a scathing opening statement during a House Judiciary session in which he excoriated Attorney General Bill Barr for undermining the rule of law and for acting as President Donald Trump’s personal attorney more than as the nation’s top law enforcement official.

Louie is an irritating peckerneck and should have been removed from the room. Perhaps even out of the building! Or sent back to Texas on a slow stock train. :)

Seems a couple of Donny's favs got ... well ... trumped in the primaries yesterday.

Now that Steve King has been sent packing, he will at least have the "Dumbest Member of Congress" mantle to himself again.

Winnie Heartstrong, a Black Republican candidate running for a Missouri U.S. House seat, has shared a 23-page document alleging that the viral video of George Floyd's May 25 death was a staged "deepfake" video hoax involving a former NBA player and a game show host.

In her document—entitled, "George Floyd is Dead: A Citizens' Investigative Report on the Use of Deep Fake Technology"—Heartstrong wrote that the man identified as Floyd in the video is actually former professional basketball player Stephen Jesse Jackson with Floyd's face digitally superimposed onto his own.

She also thinks that Derek Chauvin, the police officer who killed Floyd, was played by Ben Bailey, a comedian who hosts the game show Cash Cab.

She also claims that Waynel Sexton, Floyd's second-grade teacher who was recently interviewed on Houston television, is merely a "crisis actor" who may not really exist.

"Citizen investigators have pointed out that the name Wayne Sexton is short for "Anynel Sex" or 'Anal Sex' if you remove and replace some letters," Heartstrong wrote in her document.

Pence misleads Republicans on Capitol Hill by saying not that many counties have COVID-19 increases

Vice President Mike Pence was either given outdated information or he’s choosing to ignore the recent COVID-19 outbreak making its way through the southern United States.

Speaking to Capitol Hill on Wednesday, the Washington Post cited senators present for the meeting. who revealed Pence was trying to give positive information to the officials concerned about another coronavirus explosion that forces another shutdown.

Pence told the officials that the numbers are rising but it isn’t as concerning because the mortality rate isn’t increasing. Pence said that this was likely due to new COVID-19 cases being among younger and healthier people. It could also be due to the early days of the latest outbreak. The spike has only been increasing in the past two weeks.

He's a known liar though.:)

Lindsey Graham’s effort to give Bill Barr more power blocked — by Republicans on the Judiciary Committee he chairs

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suffered a defeat on Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee he chairs.

“The Senate Judiciary Committee blocked an effort by Chairman Lindsey Graham to give the attorney general the power to veto investigations of Justice Department lawyers by the inspector general,” Bloomberg reports. “The committee instead backed — over the objections of Graham and Attorney General William Barr — a bipartisan bill by Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah that would empower the department’s inspector general to investigate such allegations on his own authority.”

Former Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) ignored the position of AG Barr on the issue.
“I don’t care what the attorney general says on this IG thing,” Grassley said. “We designed IGs to be very independent.”

What!!! Republicans taking back their party from the Trumpublicunts!!

Some times you just say "What!!!!!!"

Neighbors left with black eyes and bitten arms after brawl with GOP New York State Supreme Court Justice

A Republican New York State Supreme Court Justice is being accused by his neighbors of getting into a brawl with them that resulted in one of them getting bit by the judge’s wife.

Local news station WKBW reports that Joseph and Gina Mele were accosted by New York State Supreme Court Justice Mark Grisanti and his wife, Maria, after they had allegedly parked their truck in an improper location.

WKBW reviewed security camera footage taken of the incident, which the news station says shows “Grisanti and his wife, Maria, walk onto the driveway of Gina Mele” before “punches are thrown and a string of expletives are unleashed by both parties.”

Gina Mele tells WKBW that, in addition to throwing punches, Maria Grisanti even bit her husband’s arm.

“They started swearing, ‘Move this f*cking truck,” Mele said. “Mark and Maria came over, onto our property, in our driveway…my husband came down from the porch, Maria physically pushed my husband, she punched my husband in the face. I came off the porch, told her not to touch my husband, and she bit my husband’s arm and would not release.”

WTF!!!!!:)

Chuck Grassley openly begs White House officials to stage intervention with Trump — or else face defeat
:)

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Friday openly pleaded with White House officials to stage an intervention with President Donald Trump and make clear to him that he is going to lose badly unless he changes course.

Writing on Twitter, Grassley urged White House officials to make Trump read a Wall Street Journal editorial that warned the president is on track to face a “historic repudiation” at the ballot box.

“Will somebody with access to the Oval Office read the WSJ editorial ‘The Trump Referendum’ to President Trump,” Grassley wrote. “We won’t have more good SCOTUS justices or the best economy in 50 years like we have had if he doesn’t follow that advice.”

“Mr. Trump’s base of 35 percent or so will never leave, but the swing voters who stood by him for three and half years has fallen away in the last two months,” the editorial stated. “This includes suburban women, independents, and seniors who took a risk on him in 2016 as an outsider who would shake things up. Now millions of Americans are close to deciding that four more years are more risk than they can stand.”

Like Trumpski will listen to reason, Ha ...ha..ha.hahahahahahaha:D

Longtime GOP congressman loses primary to Q-Anon conspiracy theorist — and suddenly Democrats have a chance to win: report

Voters in Western Colorado have sent Republican Rep. Scott Tipton to Congress in five straight elections. But his winning streak ended on Tuesday when he lost his GOP primary to Lauren Boebert.

The race was called by Business Insider, Forbes and the Associated Press.

Diane Mitsch Bush won the Democratic Primary, the Associated Press reports.

“She doesn’t have the support of the party and her fundraising has trailed Tipton’s,” Colorado Public Radio reported last week. “Yet, as her campaign ad points out, she is pro-Trump and pro-gun. In fact, she owns Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, a restaurant known for servers who are armed and open carry.”

.@laurenboebert defeating @RepTipton in #CO03 makes him the 5th sitting US House representative to lose renomination in 2020. Tipton is also the 3rd GOP House candidate endorsed by @realDonaldTrump to lose in a primary election or convention this cycle

:D

The Democratic nominee in that seat came close against Tipton in 2018. This ought to be a fun race to watch in November!

The Unfathomable Stupidity of Rich White Men

Oh, rich, white men. You unfathomable idiots. You could have had it all!

There you were back in 2008, freshly bailed out after almost totaling the economy with your criminal greed, with not a single one of you headed to prison for it. While working class incomes stagnated, health costs soared, and the young staggered under the weight of student loans, you and your fellow plutocrats sat smugly atop a mountain of accumulated wealth, courtesy of an economy structured for your benefit by legislators beholden to your largesse.

Yes, you were sitting pretty. And all you had to do to keep it that way was to not wage a racist, scorched-earth war against the first Black President of the United States. That’s all! That is the only thing you dumb, stupid idiots had to do: swallow your pride, smile, shake hands, and play nice with one of the most charismatic, inspiring, intelligent and genuinely moral politicians in American history.

:)

People still believe in this Q bullshit? She seems like a particularly loon. I'm not sure how many people get into gun fights with waitresses at a low rent sports bar.

As I've been saying for a while now we need to be worried not just about Trump (he's a con man) we need to be worried about those who come after Trump and actually believe his bullshit.

Hmmmm......

Republican Susan Collins massively outraised by Democratic Party challenger Sara Gideon: report

Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine is now at a financial disadvantage against one of her Democratic challengers.

“House Speaker Sara Gideon, the frontrunner in an upcoming Democratic primary to challenge U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, raised $8.1 million during the pre-primary period, extending her fundraising lead over the incumbent Republican,” the Bangor Daily News reported Thursday.

:)

I'm sure folks from all over the country are sending in money to dump that two-faced snake, Collins.

‘Seriously delusional’: GOP lawmaker triggers outrage for saying disease experts are ‘undermining’ Trump

On Thursday, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) called for President Donald Trump to disband the task force, directing particular ire at Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx. “They engender panic and hysteria and undermine what the president’s doing,” he said.

Commenters on social media were enraged at the congressman’s insinuation that facts about a public health crisis should be sidelined so as not to “undermine” the political aspirations of the president.

"Look at his own state. They are on par to have as many hospitalizations and deaths as the entire EU, at only 7 million for AZ versus 446 million of the EU. It is killing his diehard voters though."

"@andybiggs4az wants to fire the doctors whose public safety advice conflicts with the opinions of a reality TV show host."

"Wait...WHAT?! As a nation, we are so far past #screwed that the light from Planet Screwed will take 8 years to find us! Each time I think we've sunk as low as possible, I find I'm mistaken. I've barely survived #COVID19 & what's coming is going to be worse. #screwed #Karmageddon"

"@RepAndyBiggsAZ fellow is brilliant. It is like this:
I go to the doctor because I have cancer. I tell my family I don’t have cancer but they talk with the doctor and he says I have cancer.
Then I fire the doctor because he said I have cancer."

Next week on "The Dumb and The Maskless" Andy will attempt a Double Back Flip with a Half Twist, will he face plant?:)

GOP senator: I may not support more stimulus because of the ‘great’ 11 percent unemployment

On Friday, NBC News reported that although President Donald Trump remains interested in a second round of stimulus payments, many Senate Republicans are not.

One of these skeptical Republicans is Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), who told reporters that he wanted to wait and see in light of the “great” new unemployment numbers.

“Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., said the ‘direct stimulus checks are going to depend on how the economy is doing’ and noted the ‘great unemployment numbers’ of June, when the rate fell to 11.1 percent,” reported Sahil Kapur and Haley Talbot. “‘So if it turns out the economy is recovering, that’s a good thing and direct stimulus checks may not be necessary,’ he added.”

11.1% is "Great"?

A quote at the Straight Dope: " the Democratic Party is nothing more than the left wing of the Republican Party."

I think that was true for most of three decades. Now, the Democrats are splintering, imploding, and generally excluding themselves in impotent rage as they fail to stop Trump's populism. That leaves the Republicans to occupy more of the spectrum within their party: left, right and center.

^^^^^^^

Ziggins as to be one of the most factually ignorant people on Lit....:D

and that is saying alot...chuckles
