Why is it trying to launch? If it's based on Chrome why not just use Chrome?
only new edge is chrome based. old edge is not.....

It's a Chromium based version of Edge. In the nerd world, it's known as Chredge.
It's garbage. For multiple reasons.
And....you should put all your MS updates on pause.

Nope, and I it doesn't matter because it's trash.
It tried to launch and went right into the bin, because I killed it with fire and put it in the bin...where it belongs.

Good question. I honestly would prefer Internet Explorer to either of them, but a lot of newer web pages with embedded video links don't work as well with Internet Explorer. (I.E.'s search engine was much better than either Chrome or Edge though.)
But yeah- just use Chrome and dont worry about it. I found that new Edge thing on my computer when I booted it up this morning and was like, "What's this? No thanks."
