are you afraid of the coronavirus?

If one is not sick, how does announcing membership in the herd by wearing a mask prevent others from getting sick?

I guess you and that other stable genius, Tweety Bird, are the only ones who know exactly when someone is, as you irrelevantly put, "sick" as opposed to the more applicable "communicable." The medical community direly needs to latch into your vast smug "knowledge" on that.

Number of US coronavirus deaths in U.S. surpasses 90, 000

May 20, 2020

By evening, the US coronavirus death count was sliding over 94, 500

give or take a few hundred- state politicians are overuling their officials

general agreement is that the current US coronavirus death count is 95,000

General agreement is that the numbers are being fluffed.

General agreement that the numbers are fluffed but also put out without any context. The best news is that the projections were absolute garbage - surprise, surprise - and that the "pandemic" was overblown by a compliant, rabid media eager to tie anything (anything) to the US President (who needs someone to mold his public speaking but that will never happen).

An average of 80,000 people die every 10 days in the US
. This "pandemic" is currently proportional to a 10 day period of deaths in the US with a population of 330 million. The recovery rate is over 99% even though data is incomplete, at best.

Whatever the case, there are several idiots ("low information" types) who will just keep repeating data that they have no capability to understand. Several of them are in this thread. Not bright but they have a keyboard and plenty of time on their hands.

Case in point, this snot eating idiot.

A widely held misconception is that people who are wearing masks actually enjoy doing it. Uh, not really. They aren't comfortable and they tend to make my beard itch. But it's close to literally the least I can do.

Fake-ass health excuses in place "I just don't want to wear a mask because I don't care about any of you" can safely be ignored, unlike the virus.

Mine are homemade from cloth and are washed with the clothes. I don't see an impact.

That's nice. And there are many who also use the washable kind. Are cloths worn over the face effective? I don't know. But it can't hurt.

However, there are still millions upon millions of disposable gloves and masks being worn every day and discarded every day. And the "climate change" screamers are nowhere to be found. Straws were much easier to protest.

I keep seeing youtube videos of - mostly men - throwing tantrums in private stores, over face masks requirements. Their "me me muh freedom" are so entitled, never mind nonsensical ...

In saying that, there's another aspect that I can't get my head around.

Most experts online advertise surgical masks as "protecting others from droplets",
and N95/P2 respirators as protecting yourself from aerosols.

If so, why aren't authorities stressing or making the latter more available?
1. Most people are by nature selfish, and I bet even die-hard anti-maskers would start wearing masks that would protect Them.
2. My parents live in a flat and use the elevator, and N95's would be more suitable for self-protection, than surgical masks.

Or are there more hazards associated with N95's, hypoxia or contamination through constant re-arrangement?

here's the bottom line:

democrats: "i'm wearing this mask because i may be asymptomatic and i don't want to possibly expose you to my droplets."

republicans: "fuck you, you can't make me wear a mask! this is murica! if trump doesn't wear a mask, why should i? if you get sick, that's your fault!"

BREAKING NEWS

331 million Americans did not die from the coronavirus (COVID-19, Wuhan Virus, whatever) today.

That matches the record set just yesterday of 331 million Americans not dying from the infamous virus!

Experts are cautious but hopeful that records will continue to fall!

She wasn't dodging the question, she is directly answering the question.

Lots of Covid19 patients have heart issues, or heart risk factors. That's part of why they are in the hospital, instead of having a mild case at home.

The two most serious comorbid conditions to having a fatal case of the Corona virus is obesity and heart disease. The two go hand in hand. More mass means the heart is working a lot harder. Also people with heart conditions and circulatory problems are going to find exercise difficult and become obese. It's kind of a chicken and egg thing.

Obesity causes diabetes, diabetes cause neuropathy making walking painful that increases 5he obesity.

Obviously any patient considering taking that regimen needs to have any form of heart condition ruled out.

If they are already sick, they're already dying, and nothing else is working and you give that to them as a Hail Mary it probably won't save them and it might actually kill them. They and their doctor might consider it worth the risk, simply because that's a doctor with no treatments available what are you going to tell a terminally I'll Covid 19 patient?

Text a flip side. You have a fairly healthy patient with no comorbid risks and so no reason you can't give the regimen and you give the regimen to them and they get better. You and the patient are going to perceive that as having been helpful when it very well me of hadn't know effect at all.

There's a doctor who has seen over 1500 patience and has given that cocktail to all of them. These are patience that he saw in the very early stages of the disease. He only lost three patients. He believes it works. Perhaps all of the other ones would have gotten better without it. There's really no way to know.
