Keep your eye on Sweden

What the left wing shitheads will never understand is that we didn't vote for Trump because he's a successful businessman, or he's good at solving problem, had a good platform, or anything like that. We voted for Trump and stick by Trump because he hates all the things that we hate and wants to make America great again.

That's the really sad fact, yes. He's such a failure, but it's right what you wanted, just an familiar idiot you can identify with. It's quite understandable, and so was the pure protest vote he received. No forethought, no bigger picture in mind, who needs that, lol. And as a project to screw everyone it succeeded beyond wildest dreams. For a historical curiosity it's really fun, actually.

When was the last time America was great prior to Trump's election? Just wondering how far we're trying to turn the clock back.

Truth! Except the first and last six words or so.

ROTFLMAO at everyone still completely ignorant of Vetteman parody.

Oh my. Looks like Sweden's policies are back firing. 🤷

But in the past few days, there's been a dramatic spike in deaths. Reuters reported Monday that Sweden has had 477 coronavirus-related deaths (an increase of 76 deaths*from Sunday) and 7,206 cases (up by 376 from Sunday).

No one is going to KNOW anything until this is all over. If you must track something, track deaths per 100K population.

Comparatively Norway kicks their ass. Besides i thought 'models' were a controversial way to predict the spread of the virus. Anyways, Forbes weighs in on the fear factor. Personally, i don't care what you guys decide to do as long as you stay off my lawn. :)

the Swedish government is in the process of drawing up “extraordinary” legislation to deal with the growing threat posed by COVID-19. The death toll in Sweden, which is nearing 500, is significantly higher than some of its Nordic neighbors who have adopted a more hands-on approach to fighting the virus. Norway, for instance, has only tallied 76 COVID-19 deaths thus far, perhaps because they went all in on early prevention efforts, including closing schools, banning cultural events, and even prohibiting “cabin holidays.” Interestingly, fear of COVID-19 in Norway has dropped 10% in the past week and is now the lowest of all nations measured in the YouGov survey. This is good news, and suggests that fear will taper off to the extent that people believe their government has the threat under control.

Um. Where do those numbers come from? There were 49 deaths on sunday, 37 on monday according to the agency of public health:

Looks like Reuters' tally is both lagging and getting bunched up.

Anyway, impossible to say anything from a sample size of a day. Any journalist working with data should know better.

Keep your eye on Sweden, seriously. Sweden has taken NO steps to restrain their economy. All they've done so far is ban crowds of more than 500 and told everyone to protect themselves as they would for the flu. That's it. And if their numbers come in no worse than the rest of the world that decided to shut down their nations then everyone is going to have to do some re-thinking.

That graph kind of coincides with Saab ceasing to be a Swedish car manufacturer of some repute safety wise.

Mind you Chevrolet are far worse.

Saab used to be great cars. I've had three. As soon as GM bought them they became shit.

Vatass was way off on his corona predictions as well and he even used math to make himself appear knowledgeable.

Stupid must be genetic.

Who cares? As new strains emerge one would expect a now endemic virus to have spikes here and there. So does the flu. The same SCARRRRRY virus that caused the 1918 epidemic.

Cases are meaningless now that there is an effective vaccine. The only reason that there was any justification for any of the measures taken during the debacle that was the covid-19 response was because there was no vaccine. Now there's a vaccine, and it's far more effective than any influenza shot in recent memory.

Endless goal-post moving.

It's getting harder and harder to find morbidly obese old people to add to the covid-19 supposed death tally.
