I work for a grocery chain and it's not just hoarding, there's a national shortage cause the manufacturers have had to cut back or shut down because of this virus.

Everything is getting cleared out of the shops over here
People are buying and freezing everything

Son went to a Walmart last night, said 3/4ths the toilet paper and paper towels were gone.

This morning, I went to the market to pick up soda and a salad. No TP, no paper towels, no diapers, no baby wipes. The beer and chips shelves were being stacked when I was there.

This is getting weird.

Hubby was in management with WM for several years before retirement. His contacts are telling him that it won't 'roll downhill' to the shelves for a week or so. Distribution centers will start feeling the pinch of suppliers slowdowns by then.

I'm glad I keep a good supply of Dawn in the house. That shit will kill anything!

Ron is right, as of yesterday we or anybody else can pickup materials in Ga till further notice. This is just the start, we are hearing from our vendor's it's spreading faster than anticipated. Right now we are still receiving common carriers bringing stuff in for now but were starting to have trouble keeping up with demand. Hope it doesn't keep up for long or you talk about panicking, people can't get food , they'll go nuts. Lord help us.

Mom's family is Polish, so we need alcohol, junk food, and chicken soup.

Dad's family is Mohawk, so we need junk food, canned food, and Vicks!

Tomorrow, the wife and I will go shopping, get more canned foods, boxes of pasta and sauce, meat to freeze, and more Vicks.

Love rubbing that on her ;)

Vicks... once voted one of the most memorable smells from people's childhood's...lol.

We have a huge grocery order in for delivery on Saturday. It was all in stock when we ordered, we'll see how much is there when they go to pick it off the shelves.

We've got a huge order for delivery (mostly food) for Saturday. It'll be interesting to see if all of it makes it.
 
Walk from the office to the Starbucks saw absolute ugly looking clouds but the sun has come out.

I'll be working from home next week, much to the cats' nerves LOL I still am going to the markets, to the cafes, and fast food places.
