Indonesia with the largest ex-patriot Chinese population in the world, Zero cases!

North Korea with a long land border with China and woeful health services, Zero cases!

Africa and Latin America 3 cases between them, mebbe not?

Let's let the Trumpettes who excuse Trump's gutting of the government science core and of programs that were in place to work with such issues as the coronavirus be the first ones permitted to have it and be more worried about the Stock Market health and how this affects Trump's next election than about if their next breath is coming. Step on up, board Trumpettes. Take one for the King.

Still not scared .
I was not scared in 2018 when on two occasions I was told "we operate or you will die" .For whatever reason I was in a state of serenity and was making jokes .

I'm apprehensive, mainly because the Trump administration has screwed us all on preparation and because I have some idea how this could play in a country that's grown as soft and unprepared as the United States has. My paternal grandfather died in the Spanish Flu epidemic, and, as he owned the insurance agency in his region too, the family was wiped out financially. My dad, who was three, also had the Spanish Flu and my grandmother was given the option of going to her husband's funeral or being there when two of her children died. Neither child died, though. The effect of pandemics is real, though, especially when you have an idiot president who has zeroed out the programs that had been established to address them and is even now in an "It's all about me personally" Lalaland.

I've been working with a regional book festival set to run next month. We've already when warned that it might be canceled by calls for people not to congregate, calls that are already going out in countries as near to the United States as Europe.

Not personally scared. But apprehensive, yes--and hoping that this wakes a few Trumpettes up.

So, since the impeached President cheated his way through every science course he ever took, Pence was put in charge of dealing with corona virus.

Trump does not like this, at all. He is still contradicting the CDC behind Pence's back. If Pence can get the nation geared up to try to control the spread, he may join Greta as the next Time Magazine Person of the Year, who was able to ignore the impeached President and deal with reality.

As Trump's cult followers say, "Trump is God, and he knows everything". Pence will now have to do his new assignment without upsetting the cult leader.

These human coronaviruses, such as SARS and MERS, have been found to persist on inanimate surfaces -- including metal, glass or plastic surfaces -- for as long as nine days if that surface had not been disinfected, according to research published earlier this month in The Journal of Hospital Infection.

Cleaning with common household products can make a difference, according to the research, which also found that human coronaviruses "can be efficiently inactivated by surface disinfection procedures with 62-71% ethanol, 0.5% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite" or bleach within one minute.

get a flu jab, wash your hands lots, disinfect surfaces

i'm not really worried about myself but wouldn't want H's ma'am to catch it at her age, nor his brother or s-i-l with their relevant health issues. could be very dangerous for them.
