A wealth question for the Sanders supporters

How long is it going to take until people understand that the government raising minimum wage is nothing more than the government giving itself a raise. Those payroll taxes don't go away.

The only fitting response a natural lover of individual liberty should reply to such inanity from anyone else:

WTF is it any of your business how much I earn or what I'm worth?

On that we agree. Why should anyone's wages be taxed as if it's profit? And that is exactly what the Income Tax structure does.

Me? I'm all for the "Fair Tax." Essentially a national sales tax.

Imagine if the United States actually acknowledged that the 16th amendment was never ratified, that repeal of prohibition meant that all of the revenuers that were hired because of probation were no longer needed and no laws infringing upon Americans natural right to keep and bear arms had never been passed. Imagine if the concept of my body my choice actually meant things that were unique to your body, and only your body, such as what you choose to ingest? What if they obviously unconstitutional mandate that all Americans participate in a ponzi etirement and failing healthcare scheme? What if the Clean Air and Water Act weren't so broadly misconstrued? What if we didn't have an entire building full of lawyers in Washington DC to decide how Farmers should farm and who should be paid not to farm?

We could eliminate the Internal Revenue Service, the BATF the DEA, The Social Security Administration, Most of the EPA, The Ariculture Department, and the FBI.

Imagine all of the government lawyers and jack-booted extra-constitutional federal agents that could have been re-purposed to do something productive for society.

Before the alphabet agencies can go, the Administrative Procedures Act has to go.
That is where they got all their power.

Thanks to FDR.....from the grave.

Getting rid of JFK's executive order 10988 would be immensely helpful as well. It's a shame that Johnson did not eliminate Kennedy before he had a chance to sign that order.

Johnson would have signed it himself.

Johnson would have signed it himself.

True.

It needs to go.

An interesting sidebar to the DACA fight where the courts are saying that Obama can do something with a pen that Trump cannot undo with a pen will be interesting if that is ever settled correctly. If Trump wins that fight the very next day he should rescind that order.

Agreed.

First of all I agree that the DACA folks are caught in a bureaucratic nightmare. That situation HAS to be resolved in an equitable way. They are the victims of their parents decision and the constitution forbids corruption of the blood.

That being said, the democrats had an opportunity in 2016-2018 to work with Trump to resolve the issue. They refused to do so. Why? I can only guess that they wanted it as a campaign issue and could care less about those caught up in the trap. Rather than deal with that problem they were demanding a complete rewrite of immigration law...............to their benefit of course. No rewrite was required to deal with the DACA issue.

Democrats.
The ends......justify the means.
It's in their playbook.

Undocumented democrats. Grow the base. Simple as that.

LiLBitchDownSouth stays down south.....stuck in a corner he can't lie his way out of.

Forever cucked.....

You keep confusing the CBP and ICE

Not once EVER....you're a liar.

It's you who don't realize Customs is ICE and made a self contradicting statement.

[*]I support the mission of the United States Customs Service and their 200+ years of service to America.

[*]I do not in any way shape or form support "ICE" (the American Gestapo).

You've backed yourself into a corner of your own ignorance, you're too proud to admit you fucked up, and are doing all you can to avoid it including being BLATANTLY dishonest because you're not man enough to own up to it.

So again......what is it going to be cuckyDownSouth??

Do you support US Customs (ICE) or are you an open borders idiot??

If he gave his entire wealth of $ 60 billion to the poorest 125 million people, then the poorest 125 million people would have an additional $ 60 billion...

Next question...

Which they would immediately throw away on fancy dinners, ball games, strippers, booze and drugs.

The vast majority of poor people are poor for a reason...

;) ;)

I'm still waiting to understand why the federal government subsidizes agriculture and as such, the oil and gas industries...

Because they buy votes and
we vote for that. No one approves of it
but no one has a valid mechanism to stop that behavior.

Is the only measure of education effectiveness an SAT score?

why should there not be a federal department of education?

why should public employees not be allowed to form a union?

No.

Because it educates no one.

Because they are bargaining with themselves...

And altruistic price floors and ceilings act as brakes and governors on the economy.

It also enables the government to devalue its debt by paying it back with cheaper dollars by the process disingenuously called "inflation."

But Socialism IS the answer. Just ask those economic savvy "progressives."

I've never met a leftist that is adept at basic arithmetic but let's cut Bernie a little bit of slack, and assume that he means that the portion of your income over that amount and that the first 30 thousand or so is exempt.

He is a progressive after all so there's no way that he's going to opt for a flat tax structure; i's going to be prgressive.

Taking Bernie at his word and using the math posted by Woods, note the hapless Bernie voter winds up making less than the existing Federal minimum wage. Which fits the historical outcomes of most Democrat proposed policies, the voter always gets screwed.:D

How long before they realize the minimum wage actually makes it illegal for people who cannot produce at a market value equal to the established government standard represented by the MW to be employed in the United States. Ie, can a person who cannot read the company safety manual or the MSDS warnings on cleaning chemicals possibly be worth $15 per hour?
