What did you do to get banned?

In the notes section of the ban, it says that there's no reason given. That said, WOB has posted plenty of times something along these lines:

Accounts that don’t follow forum rules and repeatedly ignore warnings will be reported to site admin and dealt with at their discretion. End of story.

So, I guess it has something to do with whatever the fuck that means. Something TOS related, but just like the ban explanation - there's literally no reason given. But I guess this passive aggressive bitch was too scared to quote my post and say, "You're being warned for X, Y, Z, etc."

That's the huge problem here. When I have a problem with something somebody posts, I quote the post and address it. I say, "I have a problem with X, Y, Z, and here's why." How nice I say it varies greatly depending on what was said and how I want to address it.

Regardless, what ends up happening is that the problem is solved then and there. The person responds, we discuss it, we might fight, but that person walks away knowing where I stand with them.

HOWEVER, the ACCEPTABLE way of handling it on Lit is the common method. Some dumbass goes to a "What made you roll your eyes today?" thread and they plaster a bunch of random, vague bullshit on it which could literally apply to everybody on Lit. And then, it creates this toxic wave of gossip that THEY ARE PURPOSEFULLY CREATING. They know that shit is so vague that nobody can pin them down on it.

It's the most cowardly and toxic way of handling any kind of conflict. But when I confront somebody, I'm the troll.

And Wife of Bath is no better. She literally went into Pmann's thread and said "This thread is a dumpster fire." There's literally nothing constructive about that. If you're a mod, point out exactly what the problems are and fucking moderate that shit like you signed up for. But no, she a cowardly piece of shit just like everyone else who does it.

It's so fucking stupid. It's really sad because this place used to be amazing. I've been here forever.

Oh and by the way, I just want to point out that I'm well aware that I don't have Freedom of Speech on Lit. Lit can literally ban me for anything. If they don't like my hair color, they can ban me. That's their Freedom of Speech, which I fully support. Besides, I wasn't really that attached to that account anyway. And I expect this one to get banned, too. It's whatever.

This place is ran by people who have given up on the forums. When was the last time this place was updated? How many bots are spamming here? The Personals sections is just a shit ton of random people with no posts baiting. Reporting doesn't do any good.

It typically takes a lot to get banned, that’s why I asked and I’m away so thought there may have been some single event that occurred that I missed where you broke an actual rule.

I'm pretty sure it was a fairness thing. If WOB were to ban UgliestSon, it would cause a huge backlash if she didn't ban me, too.

However, she would not have any backlash if she would have banned me because nobody gives a fuck about me, which is cool. It's whatever.

But yeah, at the end of the day, I think it was one of those deals where you need to ban both if you're going to ban one.

No single incident happened as far as I'm aware. It was just a general ban regarding behavior over the course of the last few months or whatever.

I don't know if it was the what got him banned or if it was something else. I'm just saying he had been warned before.

Well, first of all, I've been on Lit since 2006. This place isn't just some random website to me. I've meet so many amazing people here, and I think there's the potential to meet more. I might think that a large portion of the people here suck, but if there's one really cool person, that totally makes up for the rest of the community IMO.

It's kind of like gaming. I hate what has happened to gaming. My favorite hobby has all but been destroyed by predatory business practices. There are so few games out there that are even worth playing. That said, one good game can make up for 99% of the market. It all sucks for the most part.

Youtube used to be the best place ever to watch content. Now, it's mostly just shit. However, there are still a few content creators that make it all worth while.

I don't think just up and leaving is as easy as finding a new place. Leaving is a slow burn. I mean, we can get into the details of what triggers dopamine release if you'd like, but the tl;dr version is that there's probably an addiction to coming here, especially after a decade of it.

The good news for most of you is that I probably will end up leaving at some point. Now that I got all this shit off my chest about the ban, I'll probably find resolution and walk away from the platform. Sure.

I guess the final point is that I want it to be on my terms and not Lit's. Though that sounds incredibly awful on my part, it's probably more or less true. "Oh you're gonna ban me?! FUCK NAH, I QUIT!" It's probably a bit of that, too. So yeah, feel free to talk shit about that. It's whatever.
