"Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct."

You can look at the usual Obama apologists / Trump haters on the board for the latest talking points to see how flimsy this all is. At this point it's a Hail Mary hoping to degrade public opinion sufficiently to justify passing some bullSchiff impeachment articles for the sole reason of trying to tar Senators ahead of 2020.

None of that is going to mean anything at all if support for removal remains under water.

Providing them with resources when and if they face retaliation has absolutely nothing to do with anonymity nor whether or not a whistleblower can and should be compelled to testify if his information is relevant to any proceeding anywhere. You're citation has absolutely nothing to do with what you're trying to prove.

What he, and the rest of the idjits parroting this BS, are trying to say is that protecting the identity of the WB means he doesn't have to actually testify. What they're saying is that everyone can just take the WB's anonymous word and convict on that basis. No witness examination, no cross examination, no confrontation, no nothing. Just make an anonymous accusation and that's enough to impeach and remove a President.

They concocted this banana-republic idea when they found out the hard way what an uncorroborated, unhinged, hyper-partisan "witness" looks like on cross during the Kavenaugh hearimgs.

The accused has a right to confront their accuser because the accusation needs to be laid bare in the cold light of day because a person's demeanor, the tenor of their testimony, is revealed about their motivations for leveling an accusation are all probative that must be weighed to determine an accuser's and their accusation's credibility.

Blase-Ford was accorded dignity in the Kavenaugh hearing, as was Mueller in the Russia collusion hearings. Nobody unduly vilified them or abused them. They both came off horribly on the witness stand. The Dems just don't want a repeat of that.
