Far as I recall they stated they were there to testify about what they knew.
Never at any point did they claim to have first hand knowledge of what Trump actually said, only what Trump's minion's said.

Oh and lets not forget that was under oath, at least the witness's were. From what I saw I think the members of the committee should also be under an oath to tell the truth. ( you think any one of the Republicans would take that oath?)

Now if the innocent members of Trump's cabinet had agreed to testify about their innocence, behind closed doors, in secret, instead of fighting subpoenas, well then maybe the impeachment hearings would not have happened.

After all, you have no need to fear what you say, if your innocent? Right?
