Whistleblower

It's cute that somehow you think that the whistleblower's after the fact notes, which aren't supported by the actual transcript of the call, somehow prove something other than idiocy on the part of the whistleblower(s), the Dems, and you for being gullible enough to believe it after it's shown to be yet another hoax.

First whistleblower: I have dirt on Trump!!!!!
Trump: Here's the transcript, It's fully unredacted and unclassified and doesn't show anything remarkable happened.
Second whistleblower: I have MOAR dirt on Trump from the same phone call!!!!!!
Us: Dude, we ALREADY KNOW what the call was about and it wasn't about what either of you 2 idjits say it was.
Third whistleblower: I have EVEN MOAR DIR...
Us: *pointing fingers and mass quantities of laughter*

Then there's this:

Breaking news #1: House Republicans file a measure to oust Nancy Pelosi from membership in the US House of Representatives and vacate her office of the Speaker of the House. (This will go nowhere but 61 people signed on to it - that ought to tell you something important is happening behind the scenes and it ain't looking pretty.)

Breaking news #2: Tea Party Patriots file official ethics complaint against US House of Representative Adam Schiff. (This will also go nowhere because unless it's something that involves Trump, nothing gets done in Congress)

Breaking news #3: Ukraine confirms that it had already opened a corruption investigation in March 2019 (prior to Trump's talk with them) into Hunter Biden's involvement with Bursima and possible money laundering. (THIS is interesting because it totally blows up the entire impeachment narrative AND shows that the whistleblowers have filed false complaints. Which is a crime in and of itself and the implications are that Schiff's office is complicit with drafting and making those false claims. Oops.)

You idjits are so consumed with Trump Derangement Syndrome that you have no idea what kind of shitstorm is about to fall on you and your political party. The long awaited IG report MAY FINALLY be released as early as next week. Durhams genesis investigation has been expanded to include more years and more people too.

Quoted to be the source of future entertainment. It’s delivering now, and will again.

Once more it's "We've GOT HIM NOW!!!!"

Query: What will you say when it all falls apart again? Will you apologize for all the angry hurtful words you've spoken? Will you apologize for being stupid and gullible yet again. Will you learn your lesson?

Or will you continue to deny reality and move forward with fabricating another false claim against the President in order to soothe your hate based emotional turmoil?

Breaking news #4: Trump white house bring's Trey Gowdy onboard!

He knows where the bodies are.

In a civil action when defending your client, this isn't very important. The adage of "even a thief can be robbed" applies. Or: just because the complainant is a scumbag doesn't mean the claims are false.

Gowdy is fairly good at not stepping on his own tongue. Guiliani has been repeatedly making that mistake lately. IMO that's the real reason Gowdy was hired.

Not much help IMO. More of a move to bring a fresh face into the mix to replace Guilliani than anything else.

Just keep reminding yourself, "Gowdy is a prosecutor, not a defense atty." Repeat that until it sinks in.

The notion that you can withhold information and documents from congress no matter whether you're the party in power or not in power is wrong. Respect for the rule of law must mean something irrespective of the vicissitudes of political cycles.

@TGowdySC June 20, 2012

You were saying?

Just keep reminding yourself, "Gowdy is a prosecutor, not a defense atty." Repeat that until it sinks in.

Currently Gowdy works for a civil firm. Prosecutors work for the government Let that sink in a bit.

Civil lawyers either sue in civil court or defend clients in criminal proceedings. Let that sink in.

Trump as a private citizen CANNOT criminally prosecute ANYONE. He has no need for a "prosecutor". Especially since that's the DOJ's job. Let that sink in.

ANY legal action Trump can pursue is based on civil actions or criminal defense from impeachment. In neither case does he need a "prosecutor", he needs a DEFENSE ATTORNEY. Let that sink in too.

Hiring a former prosecutor makes for a lousy criminal defense lawyer if your basis for hiring them is their prior profession and not their proven or actual legal abilities in the area you need them for. This is not to say that Gowdy is a poor defense lawyer, it's saying that he wasn't hired as a prosecutor for Trump becasue Trump doesn't need a prosecutor.

OTOH, Gowdy is well known from his Congressional service as well as TV appearances on the major networks. He's personable and seems to be fairly cognizant and articulate about the issues he speaks to. He's also bright, cautious, and well respected. He makes a perfect replacement for Guiliani and might just throw off the D's who are hoping they'll be going up against Guiliani in any proceedings brought against Trump.

He is also a good replacement for Scaramoochi who is off the rails and no one really knows why he had such a change of heart.

You were saying?

Has Gowdy said anything different as of yet? Or are you inferring that his merely being hired means he believes differently rather than having experience and expertise in areas where Trump needs the ADVICE OF an attorney?

Trump hired the wrong guy? No way! No, he's not being slick by hiring a prosecutor.

Has Gowdy acted anything different as of yet?

One, more accurate word makes all the difference. ^

Lawyers are renowned for speaking out of whichever side of their mouth benefits their PAYING customer (as you so intimately know). Gowdy is no different. Funny that he pimped not running for reelection was because he has no taste for all the lying and scheming in D.C., yet here he is jumping right back into exactly that, BIG TIME. Maybe his wife kicked him out and he has nowhere else to go right now?

Or, maybe he just digs the bank Trump's paying him.

It's fairly common for prosecutors to become defense counsel and vice versa. Any reasonably qualified attorney should be able to do either job.

I definitely understand and appreciate the informative benefits any so-called news organization offers to its viewers/listeners/readers when they have current/former legislators/govt officials on as guests. But once they hire them as contributors, it's mostly about propaganda to me. Alas, propaganda, not factual, objective reporter who-where-what-why-whom, is the current state of the great majority of so-called news organizations today, whichever political side they're pimping.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow is just as much a blatantly politically biased propagandist as FOX News' Sean Hannity is.

That you believe lawyers only say what their client wants them to say merely shows how ignorant you are about what Lawyers actually do.

Secondly, your "more accurate word" is YOUR word, not mine. Nor is it particularly accurate. Or grammatically correct.

Believe me, everybody knows that the Justice Department will be launching multiple investigations of the eventual Democratic nominee. It's not like Trump's unwillingness to actually subject himself to a fair election is news.

That was what I was thinking. If impeachment ever gets to the trial phase his skill at cross examining a witness would be a valuable asset. He's well versed in the Clinton server issue and the Ukraine corruption issue. If impeachment gets to the trial phase I would bet a paycheck that Hillary will have to testify. Won't that be fun to watch!

Actually, you fabricating I posted "lawyers only say" (my emphasis on "only") simply proves you'll say whatever you need to to unabashedly pimp your case.

Two other points: it's want, "not wants", and lawyer is only capitalized by insecure ambulance chasers.

It is also a BIG signal as to how the White House is going to approach this. In other words they have no intention of playing defense. They're going to go for the throat with everything they have available to them including whatever Barr/Durham digs up.

Based on the assumption that Trump has any idea what he's doing.

just curious

did anyone comment on the WB being in league with ONE OF THOSE THAT ARE RUNNING FOR POTUS/COTUS?
