Alternate Blurting I: Wasteland

There are many roads in life, everyone of them take you somewhere, just not where you necessarily need to go. Those least travel usually have the most potholes and other perils. If you find yourself lost or on a dead end street, remember, the way forward is the way back from which you came - sometimes barefooted, in the cold, and alone at night with just your thoughts.

yay, my back is almost better again, so if i don't mess it up today it should be back to normal by tomorrow... yes, i said back to normal

Drop a hondo and lay off the carbs and ol Harry might just look at you like the hot immigrant he thought he was buying.

And, your back might heal up.

I got a new meat thermometer for my smoker. Four probes... transmits the info to my phone. Brisket and pulled pork this weekend!

It appears as if we are skipping May and heading straight to June into the summer heat. Yay.

So I was in the worst place in the universe yesterday and was in a group that wanted to do that skyslide thing. Just a big 'ol pile of nope. Haven't seen that many nopes in years. A plethora of nope. A veritable cornucopia of nope.

Which one? The thermometer gizmo, that is.

This one is made by Beaspire. I have several Thermopro's that I like. But this one is cool'er. I think. Too early to tell.

The thing about Thermopro - I had one I used all last year and it stopped transmitting. I wrote a nasty review on the Amazon and the company contacted me and sent me a brand new one in just a few days. Hard to find customer service like that these days.

Where do you keep the beach tag when in the water?

Maybe you should just get a beach tag tattoo?

I would love to get a tattoo representative of my time spent by the ocean, but that seems a little too capitalistic for my hippie self. But! If it keeps those vultures away, I'm tempted.

I don't purchase beach tags...I just hide. I think most people pin them to a beach bag or blanket.

How do you feel about mountains and rivers?
