Why have Republicans stopped bragging about the stock market?

$5.24 this morning. Down -7.58%

Previous close was $5.67

Nice profit. Probably should've sold at its earlier peak.

The short sellers came in to grab their profits. Their quarterly report will be announced at the end of the month...that, getting FDA approval for using ReCell for pediatric burns, along with getting listed on the NASDAQ this year will push it back up again.

Here is their roadmap for expanding into other markets:

They just got their salesforce in January and so far have gotten orders from about 19 out of the 134 burn centers across the country. As I understand it, they can't just order immediately, there's a process that takes around 6 months before a hospital can start ordering RECELL kits.

It also doesn't hurt that not only is it one of the only products of it's kind with FDA PMA approval, it's much cheaper than competing products, and only takes 30 minutes onsite to process (which other competing products have to send out to a lab over days or weeks to process). They are going to be moving over to the NASDAQ this year. And finally, with the recent ABA announcement that RECELL will save a burn center approximately 28 million a year are some pretty solid signs that this product will have some serious legs in the burn space. I'm holding long on this stock.

Here are some before & after pics of ReCell donor sites:

As of February 28th, 2019:

  • 41 U.S. burn centers trained in use RECELL
  • 19 burn centers have ordered product

24 burn centers already had experience with the RECELL System at time of FDA approval. Represent 30% of patients treated in U.S.

Avita Medical price target raised to $8 from $4 at Lake Street. Lake Street analyst Brooks O'Neil doubled his price target for Avita Medical to $8 from $4 and affirms a Buy rating on the shares after meeting with management at the American Burn Association annual conference. It seems clear Recell is off to a "very strong" commercial launch, O'Neil tells investors in a research note. Further, the analyst believes market expansion will happen through increased pediatric utilization, especially upon FDA approval, entrance into the traumatic wound market and entrance into the vitiligo market in the U.S. He also continues to believe an up-list of Avita's U.S. ADR's from the over-the-counter market to the Nasdaq is imminent.

S&P, Nasdaq surge to record highs

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite break into record territory with health care, real estate, and consumer discretionary stocks leading the charge.

The S&P (+0.9%) touched 2,936, pushing past 2,931, and the Nasdaq (+1.2%) hit 8,118.08, surpassing its prior record of 8,110.

The Dow, up 0.7%, to 26,682 still has a way to go to beat its previous high of 28,828.

Dow Will Crash 91% to Reagan-Era Levels if Trump Loses in 2020: Fed Pick

Although markets are enjoying record highs for now, Donald Trump’s new Federal Reserve appointee thinks a 1929-style crash is likely if Democrats take control of the White House.

Yeah, I don't think that opinion really supports your worldview. To be fair, understanding stock market commentary has never been your strong suit.

Keep praying for the demise of the current cycle of prosperity. Given enough time you will be able to write its obituary.

No deplorable bump of this thread today?

:)

Fed Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell basically said we're in a good place and left the benchmark interest rate unchanged.

The market has voted otherwise. It would seem we're heading for some Japanese-style deflation unless we can get inflation up to the 2% per year level.

My Apple stock went up 9 grand today...is that brag-worthy?

No. Stock value doesn't mean much when one has spent the last 5 years of one's existence (and more than 64,000 posts) sharing porn pics & deplorable commentary on a web forum.

Life is more valuable. As in, having one. :rose:

Lol, said the guy with 43,194 posts about super-progressive politics and celebrity deaths. I have no doubt that a lot more lit members from all political stripes like my posts a hell of a lot more than yours. Plus, I have no doubt I've got much more of a life over someone that probably has a stomach ulcer from watching MSNBC 24/7. :cattail:

I could probably quote myself daily:

"I always find it a little amusing about all the people who have been here for years who clearly use this as I do as their touchstone, and make these vague references to having such a wonderful and fulfilling life out there doing wonderous things that they can barely be bothered to stop by to denigrate other people's lives.

No one who actually has some amazing life that I would be willing to trade places with has ever snarkily derided mine."

*pat on head* It's okay that you're gutless - you have lots of company here.

(BTW, there was no need for you to spend 20 minutes editing your response. Sorry that I upset you so much.) :rose:

It will be interesting to watch the market move today. Seems to me like there's a lot of uncertainty, and we all know how the stock market feels about uncertainty.

I wonder how AJ's gold investment is doing...oooh essentially unchanged since the first of the year. Not a good way to fund his retirement, seeing as how his peak earning years are now behind him...

President Good Brain pissed that Powell won’t give him the artificially low rates he wants in order to prop up the bloated DOW. Powell to Prez: fuck off fatboy.

GREAT AGAIN: Stocks Surge on New Jobs Report, Lowest Unemployment in a Generation: “The U.S. adding a robust 263,000 new hires in April while the unemployment rate fell to 3.6%, the lowest in a generation, according to a Labor Department report Friday. Nonfarm payroll growth beat Wall Street expectations of 190,000 and a 3.8% jobless rate, according to Dow Jones estimates.”

Paul Krugman on Election Night: “If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.”

This defies Krugman's new norms...

Rory, don't forget my tribute thread, but it was worth it to watch busybody taking even more victory laps.

More laps than the actual race in fact.

Notice how the little fellas here (AJ, Que and BotanyBoy) always try to make these threads about them. Sad little attention whores who obviously didn't get enough attention from mommy.
