Actually the restaurant threw in a free room in the hotel complex so the where to play afterwards and a place to get noisy was taken care of. It didn't take much convincing to get him to head home grab a bag full of things and head in. Two beds in the room would normally be a trade off, but as it was a wet and messy one and a dry sleeping one was good.
Since they were nice enough to give a freebie, I'll post a view from the window evening and morning so that anyone else heading to this town can be influenced in where to stay.
