What are you listening to ?

I'm not as much a fan of that PF song as I was in the past.

One song I've taken quite a liking to—that you posted elsewhere—is this:

Do you have a favorite song that means something to you or inspires you in the community?
I have one that speaks volumes to me that I play a lot. If you have a song that does the same, please share.

My #1 most played song for inspiration is Massive Ego- I idolize you

Thanks Kantarii. :)

I had just shared Deep Purple's original with a friend!
Love this song.

She has the pipes, for sure, but I still prefer the original ... miss the "in- between jamming" of Blackmore, Paice, Lord and Glover. Incredible how they are able to stop on a dime!!

listening to your link right now. :)

That song must have done a number on Gillan's vocal cords. :D

And, hard living, maybe, and age as well. He "lost" his voice years back but I saw them last fall and he gave a good show. they still have the instrumentation down. Paice, Glover and Gillan still there. Of course, Lord is gone :( and Blackmore still pouting .;)

What did you think of that jam?

As a teen of the 80s (mid to late 80s), I discovered Deep Purple through Perfect Strangers and was blown away. There is something magical about discovering a band that has decades of material to explore.

This tune is perfect for Lit...Knocking At Your Back Door. First time I heard the phrase "Cunning Linguist"

It was good. Despite it being 9:37, it didn't feel (too) long. No bad for 1970 (i.e. perhaps they only being together for a few years then). Gillan didn't quite get the falsetto of the studio version, but that would likely be asking too much. (At least one knows that the studio version also wasn't auto-tuned.) My interest in Alyona's cover is two fold: one for my pronoun threads here in Literotica and Music Banter (indulgence, like my CMNF AVs), but I figure the best cover would be done by a female singer (though I'm sure there are a few exceptions in the male gender).

As I'm not too much into DP, my ignorance is vast. My fav DP song is Kentucky Woman—I like the chord-banging. :D

I think he's reviewing the same video—first time he heard the song:

another Deep Purple

I took a liking to it a few years ago.

Deep Purple by Nino Tempo and April Stevens
2:42

"Oh oh oh whoah oh uh whoah oh oh
When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the night
In the mist of a memory, you wander on back to me
Breathing my name with a sigh-igh-yigh

In the still of the night once again I hold you tight
Though you're gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams
And as long as my heart will beat, sweet lover, we'll always meet
Here in my deep purple dreams

or give me RJD
It was back in the days when one could almost do a psychological profile based on the Sabbath splinter one preferred. I was definitely in the Dio Sabbath camp, though that older Sabbath song was good to hear.

Black Sabbath-Neon Knights(Video Oficial)

Goldfinger puts a bit of Dio's song in this Duran Duran cover (I have it cued).

(R.I.P. RJD :rose:)

I started to like this song the first second I clicked it (an uncommon thing for me). It sounds a lot like Skinny Puppy, but with Gollum standing in for Ogre.
