This is the first time these pressed internet-life-only schmucks have heard about the Black Israelites, so it's like the new flavor of bogeyman candy they haven't tasted. They're all in the store now.

Prepare to have their name buzzworded ad nauseum for the rest of the week. :D

The new Flavor of the Month for Deplorable Parrots.

They are scared of their own shadows.

Such cowards, if a random black man says Boo, they all run away like little critters.

Chicken shit 'fraidy cats.

The theme of revenge against liberals seems to be very strong with this group - whether they wear the hats or not.

I'm not the one who runs to the corner and wets myself when I see a hat.

I can't imagine Rory running from anything. Rory's milk shake brings you crybabies to his yard.

Nobody cares about your lame threads.

But your wife still runs away when she sees you come to the bedroom...

They hate libruls more than they hate minorities. Libruls are the bane of their existence.

I actually think this isn't an easy question. Certainly the MAGA hats can and are used and perceived as symbols of hate. When does this perception become an objective fact? Reasonable people agree the swastika is a symbol of hate. When did the swastika being a symbol of hate become an objective fact?

This. I agree.

Maybe OldJourney runs the corner and wets himself when he sees swastikas?

Make America Great Again... does not mean make america white again. It's a signal for unity and prosperity, it's what good leaders do.

Trump is president and the guy behind MAGA.

One part of your statement is true...Trump is prospering from the sale of the hats.

Are you a comedian? "profiting from hat sales" haha you are kidding. nice one, maybe.

Immediately; this is an area where perception and reality are one.

Because Nazism occurred outside of our country, across the ocean, far away in a foreign land. It has been drilled in our heads since we were tots how "bad" those Nazis were to the Jews, nevermind, many other minority groups suffered under the regime.

Almost everyone can agree that the Swastika is a symbol of hatred. However, some folks can't fathom the idea of homegrown Americans behaving in a hateful and evil manner.

It's one of the reasons why the Rebel Flag, although a symbol of oppression and treason, has remained tolerated for so long as compared to the Swastika flag.

But what if just one person in a million agrees the symbol is a symbol of hate? If one person honestly holds that my iced coffee is a symbol of, say, speciesism, does that make it an objective fact? Probably not. Certainly there are truths that are social constructions. What I'm suggesting is we need to locate what are the conditions for symbols to be symbols of objective fact.
