Three things that irritate the crap out of me usually:

1. People who think they are entitled - worrying only about themselves like spoiled children.

2. Movie teasers that actually give away most of the action or suspense from the movie - making me feel I wasted my time.

3. Automated things that stop working for no good reason - like my remote control that automatically starts my sat TV receiver, my sound system and my TV - ready to watch whatever is on. Then, without warning or reason, it places the TV on some random input instead of HDMI,

Three concepts I use when buying holiday gifts:

1. Think about the things they've gone through this year, and how they responded to them, before creating any sort of list.

2. Be creative. The gift doesn't have to be a material thing and it doesn't have to cost much money. If it is creative enough it will be embraced.

3. Even for non-material gifts, presentation is the key. How you deliver/present the gift goes a long way towards how special it is to the person. Be as creative in the giving as in the getting.
