Kreepy Kavanaugh

Seven days ?

All of a sudden, we have Rocky Horror Picture Show chorus

Dr. Frank-N-Furter:

But a deltoid and a bicep
A hot groin and a tricep
Makes me - Ooh! - shake
Makes me wanna take Charles Atlas by the...
hand

Chorus: In just seven days

Dr. Frank-N-Furter: Oh, baby!

Chorus: I can make you a man!

In Kavanaugh's case, a better choice would be "I'm a Wild and an Untamed Thing."

The FBI is currently engaged in a one-week extension of Kavanaugh’s original background check, which was shoehorned in at the 11th hour by Jeff Flake attempting to cover his own ass on the Senate Judicial Committee. The FBI is in contact with Ramirez, but it remains to be seen whether classmates like Berchem and Chad Ludington, who alleged on Sunday night that Kavanaugh was a frequently belligerent drunk during college, will be interviewed during the investigation.

We need video evidence against Kavanaugh. Otherwise, it didn't happen.

Works for Ellison. Should it be different on the flip side?

Ellison himself has called for an investigation into the allegations. I don't see Kavanaugh doing the same.

Also, the investigation ended because the woman refused to hand over the video evidence she claimed she had:

A draft report obtained by the AP notes Monahan’s shifting rationale for refusing to produce the video footage, including that it was lost, was on a USB drive in storage and that it would be too embarrassing and traumatic to release it.

Ellingstad (the attorney hired to investigate the claim) also wrote in her report that Monahan would not allow her to view the footage privately.

So did Kav.

Funny how the other ones that brought up allegations dropped out. As well your sides.

Politics are dirty.

Wow:)

Have not been here in a year or so. Sitting here with no emails to catch up on, no calls to make. I was reading a WSJ article and I thought; I bet those fuckers at Lit are going bat shit crazy over this issue.

Well..... I was right:)

you were here just 4 months ago http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?p=89349417#post89349417

men on this website have sickened me with their blatant lies and overall nastiness. can't even have a basic conversation without easily refuted lies and deceitfulness.

sorry to single you out as it may be unfair but my point remains

So Johnny and the Girl are reunited yet again! Yay!

True love wins out yet again. And they say there are no lit miracles.

When this whole thing began, Ellison said he was positive that no such video existed, for the same reason I'm positive that there's no video of me dunking a basketball: because it hadn't happened. At that point, producing the video would have obviously ended his career.

So it makes one wonder what's going on there.

Is there a video of Kav dunking?

Ahhh. So that's why our lil' luvvable racist shitstain stopped squawking about it as a deflection foil. Funny, how internet-only life works! :D

The Repugs really stepped on their own wang with this nomination.

Now they can't get their story straight. Is he an angelic choir boy, like the original story? Did he drink to excess, which would give even more credence to Ford's account? It sure looks like he has a tendency to blow a fuse and blame others when confronted with his past actions. It sure looks like he was far more partisan during his recent testimony than most prior nominees in recent history.

The more we learn about this guy, the less likely it is that the Repugs can continue to get away with blaming the Democrats for what amounts to their own nominee's past actions. So if he is confirmed, it will energize the Democratic base, and if he is dropped from the nomination process, it will de-energize the Repugnican base right before an election. There will probably be no situation where he loses confirmation in an actual Senate vote, because McConnell knows how to count.

So, Repugs either have to take their knocks by confirming him, or take their knocks by dropping him. Either way, their wang takes a bruising.

Forget about Que's fantasy of confirming Amy Barrett before the election. Most of the mail-in ballots will be cast before all of her background materials are even presented to the judiciary committee.

Even the Stable Genius is beginning to pin the responsibility for this debacle on the Senate. Polls and ratings are not looking good.

Oh, if the Republicans can get the votes of Flake, Collins, and Murkowski they can (and quite possibly will) just "pound" this out and confirm Kavanaugh no matter what smelling shenanigans they continue to do on the issue. And Flake, Collins, and Murkowski could quite well "buy" the fig leaf of this week's "investigation." They, after all, are sleazy Republicans themselves who have already gone along with so much of the smelly shenanigans.

Impeachment

If Kavanaugh is confirmed by the Republicans, he will become the second SCOTUS to be impeached. The first was Samuel Chase in 1805. The Republican party might not survive this which doesn't hurt my feelings as I washed my hands of the Republican party after 50 years because of senator McConnell's treatment of Obama and the Merritt Garland debacle.

So.... no mention of your hero Ellison?

Are you the next stable genius?

Will your half white hero weigh in on this subject? Maybe Hill if she can inhale enough oxygen to respond?

Stranger things have happened. It could all boil down to what the definition of the word "is" is. :)

Why has this turned into red v blue? A judge was nominated, some would love the choice and some would loathe it. He turned out to have a scandalous past and be overly emotional under pressure. It could happen to either party. No institution is immune to this sort of thing. There's other picks trump could make, but crowing on the left would make it look weak, and the right appearing strong is better than appearing moral. You're all insane.

It's red vs blue because the current status is what the red is stubbornly making it. They don't care if the candidate is a loser personally in the pocket of Trump, chosen precisely for what he can do for Trump--and that he will do to get the job. They don't care what gets uncovered on Kavanaugh or that he has juvenile, drunken tantrums in public. They don't care that Kavanaugh has the lowest public poll rating of any justice either confirmed or nominated in the history of polling. They don't care if they alienate every woman voter on earth. In the words of the Senate majority leader, no matter what, they, in their arrogance, have to pound this man into "his" God-ordained court seat.
