Kreepy Kavanaugh

Grassley told Durban DURING THE HEARING, that he could have directly asked for an FBI investigation at any time.

They don't actually give a shit about an FBI investigation other than as a stall tactic. They don't honestly believe that the FBI could possibly discover anything with this set of facts because it's ludicrous to suggest that they could.

They haven't been requesting an FBI investigation themselves because they know that. All they care about is having the hearing set aside until some mythical future FBI investigation conclusion at some indeterminate date after the next election.

Let's assume for the sake of discussion that time is not of the essence here as far as trying to get him seated by October 1st so that the rulings currently on the calendar that will go 3-3 and therefore stand are actually decided. The politically expedient thing to do would be to go through the motions and have the FBI quote-unquote look into this and there's nothing to look into other than "hey there's this woman that says something and this is what she has to say._______________"

Which would bring us right to where we are today.

If Kavanaugh squeaks through I think you can thank the pornstar's lawyer because that last allegation was so over-the-top faux-high-tech-lynching that it made Senators mad.

Oh, I see. You've never heard the argument that rape is a crime of power, not a crime of sex. Rape is an expression of rage. Rape is a form of punishment. The more this dipshit lashes out in anger, the easier it is to picture him slamming his hand over her mouth to shut her up.

Also, you need to be added to the BBX spastic spamming comments Hall of Deplorable Shame

So, Vera, she was raped now?

Please tell us more.

I don’t think pompous and angry is a good strategy for Kavanaugh, but I guess that is what he is going to go with.

Ahahaaha...
Says the one who gets pompous and angry over the most inconsequential political shit written on a porn board.

How would You feel if you were falsely accused of rape via Sybian?

Not implying that it's true in Kavanaugh's case, but one shouldn't trust all that pop psych-law online stuff.

Look, I think Avenatti is all much full of shit as Trump is, but I thought you had a higher opinion of Republican Senators than that. I doubt actual Senators do things to “stick it to the libs.”

Prior to the start of the hearing Jake Tapper, an actual journalist, correctly summarized where we were before the hearing. We are in exactly in the same place.

He correctly characterized Kavanaugh's feelings on the matter before Kavanaugh even testified. "He doesn't know

"These accusations are brutal and his denials are unequivocal that there is nothing that happened that he can even understand why these charges would be brought forward. The charges are upsetting ."

That isn't stick-it-to-the-libs (who are not liberal, btw) although they more than deserve it, it is a stark reminder that like Lucy and the football, Dems ALWAYS do this. Rewarding this lynching will guarantee more of the same.

He can ask for whatever he wants, but he can't order part of the executive branch to do anything.

What was the point of him tearfully saying that he hired four clerks before he was even confirmed? What an entitled prick.

I don't think that's unusual. A justice confirmed this close to the start of a term —and most are, since the huge majority of Court vacancies occur in the summer — has to hit the ground running.

Sen Kennedy "Do you believe in god?"

This fucking country is nuts. Attesting under oath that you believe in ghosts is the litmus test for being qualified to be on the supreme court? That gives you credibility?

Senator Harris is nailing his entitled behind, repug politicians aren't used to interrogation questions tougher than what color is snow...

The good ol' boys club will confirm him in my opinion, that's the game they play. They have their own set of rules. He picks the worst people.

Republicans have repeatedly and contemptuously scoffed at the idea of an FBI investigation of the sexual-assault allegations lodged against the nominee by high-school classmate Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, and now college classmate Deborah Ramirez.

Dr. Ford herself asked for such an investigation in a formal letter to Grassley; he was unmoved, saying that senators were perfectly capable of adjudging the credibility of witnesses.

The hearing is over.

This moment in time is now a part of American history.

From the way that Republicans have behaved at the hearing, it would be hard to detect the seriousness of what is at stake.

Dripping with Trump slime.

That’s not relevant to what I said, but, whatever.

I don’t know what an actual investigation would reveal. Neither do you.

I do know that no prosecutor in their right mind would take this to trial without any evidence that can be corroborated, much less baseless allegations that don't even have the basic facts. Where it happened. When it happened. Who was there that witnessed the events.

Fair-minded^^^

The hearings had concluded, the votes were counted. He had every reason to expect to be seated before Feinstein tossed a monkey wrench from nowhere.

Grassley didn't say that Durban could ask the President directly to open an FBI investigation, Durban could go straight to the FBI and ask them directly.

The FBI is part of DOJ, which even though it is part of the Executive Branch, is supposed to have independence from the President. It is there to serve the people, not the President.

If this were an actual trial, and a defendant, accused of a violent crime, loses his shit on the stand, you better believe the jury would take that into account.

Unless, of course, you are saying the alleged actions, which can reasonably be considered a failed attempt to rape Ford (Ford said she herself thought she was about to be raped or killed or both), could not be described as violent.

Only a certain type of jurors, which are more likely to be selected by the lawyer who brought up the charges.

I trust that, if I were a juror, I’d try to go through all the possibilities before reaching conclusions:

“How would I feel if I was falsely accused and hounded to such a degree?” – upset and angry
“How would a narcissist react to being found out? – upset and angry
“What about a psychopath?” – calm and cool

Dripping with typical Democrat hypocracy and partisan Borking.

FYP.

You have it backwards.

The correct side of this fight will never forget how despicable you all are in your quest to get your way at all costs.

It's been headed this way for a long time and there is no turning back. Your ilk salted the earth, you will live to choke on it.

And yes, even though you are basically the miles of the left, incapable of actual engaging on the issues that you post about you personally are quite culpable here I'd love to know because of the thread title where you lifted that from. I'm quite sure you haven't had an original thought in your entire life so somewhere a couple of months ago someone in the DNC was already tittering about what was to come. The foreshadowing in your title of this thread can only mean that the Democrats were already planning to do this then.

For once, I agree.

You are 100% correct that if Kavanaugh were actually lying and really did do these things he would be by definition sociopathic and a sociopath would have no trouble keeping his affect flat.

Republican senator John Kennedy asked the final questions of the evening, saying, “Do you believe in God?” Kavanaugh said he did.

Kennedy continued, “I want you to look me in the eye. Are Dr Ford’s allegations true?”

“They are not accurate as to me,” the judge responded. “I’ve never done this ... Never done this to her or anyone else.”

Asked about the Deborah Ramirez allegations, Kavanaugh said, “If that had happened, that would’ve been the talk of campus.”

“None of these allegations are true? No doubt in your mind?” asked Kennedy.

“Zero,” Kavanaugh responded.

The final question of the day: “Do you swear to God?”

“I swear to God,” Kavanaugh responded.

*sigh*

A Republican "puppet show," is all that it takes ?

I thought we made fun of those that say

Fact check: Who can ask for an FBI investigation?
"First of all, anybody could ask for an FBI investigation," Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said on Thursday afternoon amid back and forth about whether there should be an FBI investigation into claims of sexual assault by Kavanaugh.

As we've reported previously, that’s not true: The FBI can investigate Ford's claims, but only if the White House asks the bureau to do so. Neither the Senate nor any of the accusers have the authority to request the FBI's involvement.

The 45 voter is talking about trying to win at all costs? That is ruble rich.
