Starting the week off right - home sick with the munchkin - Mother Daughter stomach bugs. I'm still drinking my coffee though.

Back in the office, and nothing has changed during a nine-day absence.

Vacation or did they find a buyer for the company?

Morning all.

The coffee is ready and so are the whole wheat waffles. Help yourself.

And now for the moment of truth, I have to call my editor to see how she liked the rewrites. If you hear screams just keep moving and ignore them.

:D All off that sounds good to me - coffee, waffles and editor.

I've spent a very frustrating day, trying to build a PC.
Windows 7 is, as is normal, being very uncooperative.
That said, the BIOS stuff any helpin' much.
Ah well, A coffee then back on with it.
This morning it was 4am when I woke. I could not get back to sleep [therefore, downstairs and feet up on the sofa].

I could manage the waffles, but not the coffee. And I don't have an editor at all, so I don't know what that would be like. Maybe some day.

I spent Earth Day getting my claws dirty. The vegetables must be planted in sequence, weeds must be eliminated, native plants must be transplanted and new ones put in their place. It was all very satisfying. Now, about that coffee . . .

That went better than expected. A few minor glitches here and there. Now the story is ready for the Word Apes. Beta readers. About six of them. Four for our side and two from legal. So, I get about a week to recover before they kick in with their views. My editor will handle most of that.

The next story is started. One chapter and the arc, rough character outlines, and plot points are filed with my editor, so I can continue on. Maybe a short break first. I wonder what Housemate and Houseguest would think of a weeks vacation on a nude beach.

Okay, enough daydreaming. Time for fresh coffee and a kettle.

You could not have timed it better.
A hot kettle is just what I need for a bed-time cup a' cha.
Thank You

Wow, intensive. Is that usual?

I'm half done my edits, another 15 chapters to go and then it's off to the publisher as well and we get into the serious editing and proof reading. Eeeeek. And then heads down for the next one in the trilogy.

Time for fresh coffee indeed!

Vacation. I went north to visit my 90-year-old mother and my sisters. On the way there and back I got to spend time in lovely Limon, Co.

Vacations are good. I'm considering one myself.

Chloe, Intense is a good word and that's how the process works. I sent this story to my editor in roughly thirds. The beta readers got a go at it each time. I didn't hear anything from them the first go around. After the second, I got three notes to hurry up and finish the damned story. :D

That made my day.

I was distracted from part 4 of A Valentine's Day Mess to write a ghost story. I got hung up on the ghost story, and suddenly I'm swamped by other stories that want to be written. I'm fighting them off as best I can, but I might be going under. I might be going under.

A plot bunny attack. Get to higher ground as soon as possible and carry a big stick. Try doing mental math problems until the creep away. They are deathly afraid of math.

Before unions, 'vacation' was the period between being fired and finding a new job. For me now, 'vacation' is ambulatory time between medical procedures. I'll take what I can get.

Winter finally ended last week. Spring is shuffling in, half-drunk on Hawai'ian Expresses. The coffee... well, it's best with cocoa and Gran Marnier.

Ambulatory time between medical procedures? I thought that was a Friday or Saturday night at the local country western bars.

You know you are in trouble when Spring shows up with a luau in tow.

Oh shit! I need a calculator to do math. Get back! Get back! 156 divided by 5 is what, let me think.. Ah!!! Carnivore bunnies!

All this about editors of a real book, and my computer stuff is STILL not right.
So today is a day for fitting tiles to my back-door step.
In the meantime, tho', coffee - PLEASE.

Fitting tiles sounds like a great way to spend the day.

Fresh coffee coming right up.

Then it is off to bed for me.

Thank You kindly.
I won't say 'sleep well'; you stand a better chance of that than I.

Oh go on then; I'll have another cup . . . .

I'm bummed. It's my volunteering day and I'm stuck at home. It sucks.
