Figgered that wouldn't take long

No, they do it in the name of profit.

Do what in the name of profit?

A 'single one'? You mean every one since the mid 50s when defense contractors started running things after WWII and Korea?

Defense contractors are running things?

When did that happen?

What are you talking about?

Last I checked they didn't have anything to do with government atrocities committed in the name of equality/egalitarianism and to the glory of the state/party comrade.

Oh look the other guy who feels the need to regularly make up lies about me to feel less shitty about himself.....

So what if I'm up early??

Get to work wage slave!!!!;)

The other guy? Obviously, you haven't been paying attention. Pretty much anyone that has any sort of discussion with you longer than a few posts says pretty much the same things..

I have a great life.. I don't need to tear you down, I just see through all your crap..if you weren't so insistent on spreading so much of it around, I probably wouldn't even comment.

No....you and Rob are the only two who go around making up lies about me on a regular basis.

Only real differences between you two is you aren't the overt and blatant racist that RDS is. You however come up with more fantastical lies.

I have a great life.. I don't need to tear you down,

So then why do you make up so many lies???

No, you make up lies, back none of it up and name call like a 5 year old when called on it.

It's "normal" country kids in Wyoming who go shoot up schools.

So yeah, 16 yr olds should be able to waltz in and get assault rifles

You know, people would probably take you more seriously if you could actually post in logically consistent sentences and cut out the hysterical hyperbole crap.

Wyoming hasn't ever had a mass shooting. And 16 year-olds aren't legally allowed to purchase firearms and AREN'T being discussed as if they were.

Sputter and rage all you want, but if you can't post intelligently on the subject matter at hand without going off the rails to the land of the utterly ridiculous, then just don't post. Everyone already knows you're a raving lunatic, stop constantly proving it.

Sorry. I know that for you the myth is true that President Obama "saved" the economy. However, in order to defend him, you made the case that the heavy lifting was done under President Bush, which it was, and the economy was already rebounding. Once in office, all Obama did was go on a spending spree for his cronies and pet projects while going after the energy sector at the same time. That's why, once he was no longer President, the economy took off. It's called human action. People make financial decisions and invest based upon the government and policies they live under. Obama's policies were not friendly to business, so business hunkered down, took Capital off the table and decided to wait him out. Furthermore, Obama wasted Capital that we did not have into his pet projects, but an understanding of economics tells you that a business created artificially by a glut of money soon collapses once the money is used up. That happened too.

The problem you have is that you had these ideas about Obama so comfortably compartmentalized that unwittingly you had to spit out the truth of the matter in order to defend the myth
.

Obama did a masterful job of bringing America out of the Bush recession, despite jackwagons like you and your fellow Not-Republicans fighting him literally every single step of the way.

Remember you mewling about "but but Von Mises says!" and "but but teh deficit" and all your other distractions?

Obama succeeded despite a sizable minority* here in America who would have rather seen American fail than a Negro president succeed.

("sizable minority" in this instance refers to a political fringe, not your ever-expanding waistline Tubby)

Another name for it is Freedom. And the goal of all Socialist's ne Communists is to restrict freedom to the greatest extent possible so as to be able to control all aspects of financial interactions. It's their attempt to recreate another Eden without snakes..........or apples. The face of the planet is littered with the wreckage of their efforts.

Indeed. The reply to this was kind of predictable by our board business hater.

False. All I said was you and that other poster mixed up the Economic Recovery Act and the ARRA. So I corrected it. I did assert ARRA worked, because it did.

All the rest is your bullshit and the voices in your head.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was signed by Bush - FYI. Obama did vote for it while in the Senate.

You have a deplorable memory.

ETA:

But to bring it back to the OP/Thread: I agree that the merchants should not get to have their cake and make public policy, too.

Asshat.

Who did TARP? Nothing I said was bullshit as I removed the man from the myth.

The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) is a program of the United States government to purchase toxic assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008

Yes, we all get it. Bushed saved the economy and Obama stepped in, took credit for it and you gave him credit so that you could continue to bash Bush, praise Obama and cheer him for 1% growth for the entire eight years, because of the mess he "inherited." The recovery began before he was even sworn in. And you drove that point home to defend the myth and now you're sputtering and moving goalposts so you do not have to admit the truth. Yes. We get it.

You can now have the last word so that you can feel vindicated with victory. ;)

Bush saved the economy? That’s funny! Wonder why unemployment kept climbing for the next two years after his term ended?

Well you know how it is w/this sort of thing. It's all Trump's, the conservatives, and Republican's fault. Pewty Cat Obama is back to being a community leader pleasing his royal subjects. Bushed is too old to give a damn now. And HRC? Never know what she's up to. Amazing how all that rivalry between her and Pewty Cat is all forgotten now isn't it?

Household wealth has been on a steady and steep incline since 2009. That’s a trend that can’t be faked or spun. Remind me what happened that year?

People actually think that politicians care about anything other than themselves. lol.

You might look to Obama policies and priorities when it came to shutting down the energy sector. You might want to look to his attitudes towards business and why they were reticent under his administration to do anything that hunker down and wait in place until he was gone and a more favorable business climate emerged. But, then, you probably could not even consider thinking about things Obama in any sort of a negative light, after all, he's a Democrat and that Party is the home of centrist, moderate and independent voters such as yourself.

The last two years of the Bush Admin suffered under Democrat control of Congress.

I'm sorry. What the fuck happened to the income inequality gap? The story that the common man's income stagnated and languished while the rich got richer?

We understand you are obligated to espouse that happy horseshit ("Obama took Bush's credit! No, seriously!!")so that you may continue to lecture us on Von Mises' "It's Not Enough That The Rich Get Richer, The Poor Must Suffer Correspondingly" tripe. We get it.

The last two years of the Bush Admin suffered under Democrat control of Congress.

Barney Frank saved us from those people who wanted to reform Freddie and Fannie and keep minorities from enjoying the "right" to home ownership even in the face of whistleblowers trying to tell him that a collapse was coming and we had to head it off. He was more worried about the elections than he was the economy because the warning was coming from the Bush Administration and they were just a bunch of stupid racists who did not understand the economic multipliers of minority home ownership (even if the could nat afford it). Mark Zandi deserves a lot of blame for his faulty model of for housing loan derivatives based on a model from the 50s which had little to do with packaging loans to people who could not afford them which were quickly sold to Freddie and Fannie.

And the first six suffered more, and got nothing much done, under Republican control of Congress.

pshaw, we had a splendid little preemptive war! It did wonders to ensure Bush' re-election. Sure, a buncha soldiers died, but they knew what they were signing up for, right? Right?
