He's the typical ignorant trash who sees Africa as one damn country when there are so many individual nations each with its own strength and beauty. His brain is stuck in a 1960 National Geographic magazine issue.

Africa gets a bad rap in American media. They always seem to depict the worst parts of the continent to fuel BLACK inferiority. Africa as a continent is moving FORWARD not backward.

I'm sure some of the ignorant posters on GB see dark skin and kinky hair as disgusting and don't care to learn about anything beyond their myopic bubble, but it is great to open up one's mind. Africans may not be the richest people, but they are sure wealthy in spirit and soul.

Quite frankly you're the one showing ignorance spouting that 'intellectual circle' bullshit.

South Africa is the only nation on the continent that is close to first world status and it's showing signs of taking steps backwards.

The creation of AFRICOM under the Obama administration was not without reason. Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa in particular is seen as the up and coming middle east. ISIS like organizations have made good inroads into those nations as if they didn't have enough troubles with the traditional war lords. More and more US military assets are being assigned to the region for those very reasons.

And I come back to Mohummed Ali. When he returned to the states after the "rumble in the jungle" a reporter asked him, "How did you like Africa Champ?"

He replied, "Thank God my granddaddy got on that boat."

They are "shitholes." And they're going to be shitholes for years to come.

I can only imagine what you handwringers would have thought of Harry Truman.

Not in the least. Although I should be. The double standards are truly incredible. If Obama had acted like this or done 1/10th of the idiocies of the asshat in chief they would have crawled up one side and down the other in righteous indignation and recrimination. However because it is not Obama (among other things), it is not only okay but something to accept or even praise.

It's... nauseating the way the bar has been lowered.
