Town's Baby Maker

This is something spawned from someone I know that has gotten pregnant over and over again. Beyond Irish twins at this point and hitting Irish triplets. So, it gave me this idea of a girl becoming a small town's baby maker, so to speak.

The main character in this story is more cute than hot, and everyone in her small town likes her because of her sweet personality. After going on a date with a guy, he ends up knocking her up. She comes to discover she enjoys being pregnant and that all other the guys in town love the idea of her pregnant. After giving birth to her first child, she gets asked out again, but this time by a different guy. After he knocks her up, she goes through the process again, loving the idea of every baby she has having a different father.

It's silly I know (and I'm sure the premise will go off the rails as people comment) but felt like throwing it out here for the hell of it.

It is interesting in a twisted sort of way. But it's hard not to think of practical ramifications, such as how does she support the kids? Does each father supply child support? Is she a wealthy heiress? Does the town kick in to help support her? Stuff like that would distract me from the eroticism if it weren't somehow explained.

You could also flip the genders on the story, make it about a guy who tries to knock up every woman in town.....

I find practical ramifications can sometimes get in the way of writing erotica, personally. That isn’t to say you should just abandon reality. In this case though, thinking about it, maybe social services helps her out. If not that, I like the idea of the town helping her out maybe. But only a little. I sort of like the twisted notion of her making her life infinitely harder just for her own pleasure. I also like the father’s not paying child support. They just enjoy knocking her up.

Have you read the Red Mars trilogy? One of the characters inseminates herself constantly and ends up giving birth basically to an entire town single-wombedly.

What if for some reason she was the only woman in town who could get pregnant (or the only one who could carry a baby to term)?
There are lots of port apocalypse stories with a similar theme. Usually the last in the world, but perhaps the last in the town or village.

She gets pregnant by the men as a way to secure the next generation for the town. Each child is then raised by the man and his wife as their own and she is free to get pregnant again.

It's important that each child has a different father to keep the gene pool as diverse as possible.

Perhaps only 1 female child in each generation is able to bear children, so it's important that she have lots of children to ensure that the special daughter is born in the next generation.

That *is* crucial. She finished a literature degree online during and after high school. Now she teaches poetry online to prisoners. I know a busy mother who supports herself this way. All her distant, dungaree-clad students are in love with her. Do any parolees appear at her door? How does the town react?

Displeased husbands may send a bit of hurt his way. Thus we'll see many evasive Scooby-Doo chases.

Maybe she has a connection at an adoption agency. As soon as each kid pops out, he's whisked off to the agency and placed in a loving home before he gets his first tooth. Unless she decides to keep one or two along the way.

I was going to propose a spinoff involving a creepy fertility specialist and his sister's private adoption service, but feh.

Okay, our willing serial mama's sister handles discreet adoptions, mostly to wealthy impotent and infertile Tromp supporters looking to shield their estates from even the new, relaxed tax standards. Will serial mama get a cut of the inheritances in future decades?

In my head, I don't see the story going sci-fi or futuristic, i.e. the need for procreation to sustain population or even as a means to have able bodies to work the fields or whatnot. I saw it more as almost a fetish she develops. She enjoys having children from a different father every time.

I'm not sure how it would get started. Maybe she gets asked out by a nice boy. She's sweet and nice, so she says yes, and ends up pregnant by him.
