When I look at photos of Litsters (which I'll add that I don't do very often), I'm doing it with a view to seeking a further connection. That's why I like photos that include eyes so much — although I realise now that hypocritically I haven't posted any of my own — because they convey so much information to me about a person non-verbally. For the same reason, disembodied naughty bits don't do anything for me. Yes, I'm a guy, and I just made that statement with a straight face.
The relevant point that I'm making here is that I don't look at photos seeking imperfections. If there's something about you in a photo that you don't like, then I probably won't notice it. For me, the connection and the pleasant surprise for me lies in the whole package: how the physical manifestation ties in with the internal reality that I've projected from text-only exchanges. Chances are, also, that I'll spot something physically that I like that might not even have occurred to you.
This honestly isn't a coded plea for photos! I'm also aware that not everyone views photos in the same way as me. I just wanted to address the misconception that it's necessary to be some kind of classical model in order to post photos. Lawks a lordy — that didn't stop me from giving it a go!
