Nothing, except the American Conservative is more adept at recruiting tokens into their ranks: token blacks, token women, token Hispanics, Jews, gays, etc.
Take note that the majority of every one of those mentioned groups now votes against Republicans, leaving Republicans with only the majority support of whites.
Republicans are the plantation of white people, keeping them hooked on white identity politics and fear of imaginary "white genocide" and fear of everything brown and non-Christian. They are quick to tell us how the Democratic Party was the home of slaveowners, the Klan, and the racists in general. What they don't tell you is that Republicans have made their entire post-1960s political success off of becoming the new home for those millions of racists from the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is suffering right now because it has, in fact, pushed out all those frothing racists over to the GOP.
And they're smarter than Nazis: because they keep token numbers of people in their ranks that come from the very groups that they demonize. The Nazis would have gassed everyone who's not white and blond hair and blue eyed.
The Republicans, on the other hand, keep those who are not WASP males as field taskmasters over everyone else trapped within their hateful grasp (i.e., Republican-dominated states).
