Dayam! I'm bookmarking this thread.

I'm really impressed with the suggestions here.

adrina should have it down now. yay.

Since ya'll helped build it... here it is.

Universe help me, I'm going to be traveling around with Lit and the GB... From Ferm to Froya, and Ish to Nipples and everyone in between.

Grazie!

Glad you liked my contributions. I haven't followed the whole thread, so it's awesome you posted the list. There's some great stuff on it. I think I might make a playlist of my own from this. :)

All those years watching Benny Hill in my childhood and I had no idea the singing girls were The Ladybirds. I love history.

Here's a stuttering man who turned it into a strength and gave a lot to charities

Good lyrics here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02vDkMEdIkY

He is seriously impressive.

Peaches en regalia.

That's about as discordant as Philip Glass (speaking of whom...).

It's still Frank Zappa. :p

Nice.

Here's another one, adrina.

This one is best cranked up to fullest volume, windows down, as you come to a stop at a light.

Notice all the other drivers around you, hearing your music, bobbing their heads and singing along.

Jump out of the car and start swanging those hips and dancing...right there in the street at the stoplight.

See how many people jump out of their own cars and join you!

If anyone on Earth can start a revolution....it'd be you, doll!

Here ya go!

So you say you want a revolution...

:D

This has been such fun - and I'm thrilled with the variety and substance.

I did thanks. :) I thought it might be interesting to see the results. Even if it isn't to someone's personal tastes.

I still need to go over some posts in here - didn't get the chance last night. I'll get there. Just cuz I have something to play on my commute and running errands, that doesn't mean I won't add to it.

Keep going. We have about 9000 tunes on our regular playlist.

Boots Randolph - Yakety Sax .... (Blink - Blink)

Oh, and while you're at it, see if you recognize John Phillip Sousa's Liberty Bell March.

For something different, try:

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Night Castle

Information here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Castle

If you're not familiar with TSO, their sound is heavily Classical with a hard rock treatment. It's very unique, but if pressed, I might compare it to Jethro Tull on Aqualung. A lot of piano with percussion and metal guitar. I was listening to it while walking this morning and felt I heard something similar to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but I wasn't ready to compare it to them. Then I read the Wiki above and found that Greg Lake played on one of the tracks in this album.

I very strongly suggest people listen to it all the way through, uninterrupted (over an hour) and REALLY LISTEN to it.

New Seekers - I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (Used in Coca-Cola ads in the 70s)

The Byrds - -Turn, Turn, Turn.

Booker T and The MGs - Green Onions

Before I get going, I need to stop and put this in here because I want to note it for later. Seems to fit here best.

cowsills - I love the flower girl

Trip down memory lane from you for me. A lot of good music.

To help keep it straight I'm editing and putting titles. You and I have some very similar music tastes. I already have a number of them you have posted. I also am very impressed with Dolly doing Stairway - gives it a whole different tone.

Earl Scruggs

It's been ages. Thank you. :)

When you want to go past happy, let me know.

Will do. :D

You need more horns. Add some Ozomatli and Ezra Furman.

Aha... another good one. That Ozomatli is very interesting.

Ozomatli - Brighter

Ozomatli - Place in the Sun - A bit "rappy" sometimes but kinda fun.

Ezra Furman - Body was made

Boots Randolph - Yakety Sax .... (Blink - Blink)

Oh, and while you're at it, see if you recognize John Phillip Sousa's Liberty Bell March.

Hahaha... I think I'm going to nab the Yakety Sax one but leave the Liberty Bell March to the old movies. :D

That is what really happened, I put him in a wall. ;)

Sisters of Mercy- Leonard Cohen

I've gone back and listened to that song a few times now. I love the looks on the girls' faces as they are singing. Cracks me up. :D

Christmas burned me out on TSO. Talented but I've been force fed too much of them. I'll try again in ten years. ;)

I love driving around with the new music. I'll hear a song and think about the person who suggested it. Kinda cool.

I've never heard their Holiday stuff. Night Castle is something that stands on its own merits.

Look up a tune called "Bass and Guns" by a duo called 'Superhand' and tell me what you think.

They seem to be from Wales: http://indiebandguru.com/superhand-sounds-and-visuals-of-the-exotic-band-from-wales/

It reminds me a lot of the druggie type music of the late 70s and early 80s. They had a radio cut (about 4 minutes and change) and one that was ten minutes or so. The radio cut sounded spliced and the ten minute one was okay but longish. I listened to the Discipline Me one from your link and while I liked the sound of it better, they lyrics were meh. Out of all the pieces of theirs I've perused tonight, I'd say Crystal Pianos is the one I prefer most.

This just came up again in my playlists. I really like it, one of the few that brings that weird grin to me. Got it off this free sampler album: https://www.amazon.com/Now-Hear-Thi...ents=p_36:-1,p_n_feature_browse-bin:625150011

Quite a few good ones there mixed in with some not so good ones.

I'll check it out when I'm on my computer and not my phone.

It's funny that you should bump this. I was thinking about this yesterday and renewing my request for music.

I am really happy with the results of this last time.

I would welcome more music suggestions. I would like to have more.

:)

I tried those two on Vimeo and I'm not impressed overall. The middle section of Crystal Pianos is good, but I'd have to edit out the beginning and end.

Some really good stuff from The Who like 'Pure and Easy' and 'Getting in Tune'.
