Aussies! Check in here!

Totally not sport-related....
My recovery is going well. I am now walking up to an hour and 1/2 each day. External surgical sites now healed - I am 3 weeks post-surgery.
Altogether quite happy, although I'll be extatic when I can drive again!

Decided to have a makeover and had a haircut today so I'm feeling quite glamorous

Haven't been watching much tv while I have been recuperating, but I have managed to read all the books on my wanted list! Now I have to hunt for things to do!

Are we all enrolled to vote in our horrendously expensive and useless ssm postal vote?
Great news. May Spring bring you good health and healing.

As for that ridiculous postal survey to gauge whether the Coalition might allow itself a conscious vote on marriage equality.... it is a colossal waste of money but an even greater abuse of process to create division, scaremongering and turmoil in our communities when it is well documented that the majority of Australians are supportive of marriage equality. We need to value all people for who we are and who we may love.

Couldn't say it any better YES!

Paul Keating said of Turnbull shortly after he entered parliament that he was brilliant and fearless but had no judgement. Turnbull had said of Kerry Parker's threat to kill him that his assassin had better do a good job or else he'd be out to kill Packer. Perhaps Turnbull fears the ultra-conservatives in the Coalition more than he feared Packer at his height.

Ha you know I remember Keating calling the opposition a bunch of scumbags, 50% of my nick, and I doubt you can work out the other half.

So I was in Woolworths today..

mince pies are out already

Wtf it's September and it's freaking stupid

In saying that I've started Xmas shopping already

My surgeon cleared me to drive :)
No longer captive to other people driving me around - YAY!

Carn The Crows!!

As a northerner with no idea here are my tips...

Port to do away with the eagles.

Swans to smash the Dons...

Geelong in a close one against Richmond

And the special of the weekend to start off with a bang because everybody loves an upset

GWS to best the Crows by a goal... because if they don't show something this weekend they'll be gone next.

Ahh the kiss of death.

So mature...

Although swans have dropped a few and orazio fantasia is back...and we all wanna hear BT call his name out

Given my tipping form tonight your safe, Adelaide are belting them. Going to be a very short final series for GWS. Whoever they play next week will fancy their chances.

lol in t won't be safe until the final siren goes...other teams have made it and won it from 7th ..fingers crossed

I ended up scheduling a plane to Melbourne right in the middle of the match *doh*!
Heard the first two goals on the radio then the doors closed and had to turn it off.
Dopey!

Hey WQ

Good to hear things are improving. Considering where you live I'd assume driving is essential.

Not surprised you guys in Tassie are still battling colds and flu the considering low temps. I mean today I saw that Hobart is only getting to 9 and it's set for 26 in Brisbane, crazy country. Stay safe.

Yep saw that as well this week. Not long now till those Dutch cakes get on the shelves, the ones with fruit and marzipan. Yummo!

Afternoon all,

Seems it's safe to talk about the cricket again since we got out of that rather ordinary performance in Bangladesh. The Aussie team has got forgotten how to play on those pitches, too used to the flat pitches and the big bats. Not being able to play spin is not a recent thing either.

So one final down and next one tonight. Thus far I'm one from one. Not sure GWS can go much further given their poor performance.

So it seems we'll all be getting that postal survey conducted by the dudes that can't run a website. Hope their umpa lumpas can count. Will be interesting if the No vote gets up, that will really test the resolve of the Libs. Hoping for a Yes vote to win the day so all adults get a choice at marriage. I'm sure all the divorce lawyers will be voting Yes.

Well it's supposed to be Spring somewhere in this country of ours. Still Winter temps down here in Melbourne town. Only positive is that we are finally getting a decent amount of rain.

Saw the images from Hurricane Irma this morning and the same areas are getting a second one in a couple of days. Since most of the damage is already done the second one isn't going to make things much worse. Hopefully no more loss of life.

Hope your weekend is a good one.

Hi there :)
I went for a drive today even though I didn't have to do anything ;)
Just because!
It has been bloody freezing with snow down as low as 100m! Today we had a hailstorm in the sunshine! Many roads and schools are closed because of heavy snowfalls. I don't mind the cold.... I just layer up and drink brandy :D
Another below zero night coming up - my hot water bottle is getting a workout this year!
Hope you're well.....
