I was watching this sweet couple at the beach the other day. Their three kids were playing in the ocean and they were standing together in this long embrace, kissing and hugging each other in the most tender, loving way, completely unaware of the world around them. Then he lifts his arm up over his head and she gives him all these tiny adorable kisses right in his armpit, and nuzzles her face into him, smelling him and rubbing her face on him, as if she'd done it a hundred times before. It was so intimate and beautiful. I could've watched them all day.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this before. That's one of my major turn-ons about armpits ... the smell after exercise or sex. It seems to amplify the other senses.

The smell of a person can be so tempting and intoxicating.

It doesn't happen to me often in America, probably because we're often militant about deodorant and bathing and personal space here. But... in buses, and shared taxis, and trains in Zambia, Nicaragua, India, the entire rest of the world... I fall in love with the stink of perfect strangers all the time.

I miss body odor.
